As an 80 Series owner myself, I always find it interesting to see how others have kitted out theirs. You've created a sleeping area that looks comfy with plenty of room to move. Definitely a lot more room than the roof top tent I have on my 80. Great work. 👍

Gday mate, thanks for the view and the kind words. It’s a great setup, very comfy heaps better that the rooftop tent I had before. I’ve just had a baby so I’m in the process of thinking of a new setup unfortunately. These 80s are a continuous evolution. Cheers bud

Love your car: Such a great storage system : simple, can't break, no wasted space for rods, hinches and sliders.... And a perfect sleeping platform. I want to build something like that, maybe leave 1 seat in the back. I'm thinking of building backdrawers that come out completely and have legs to make a table. No need to shift around your food...pull it all out and place it somewhere out of the way.

Thanks mate, yeah I reckon it’s pretty good for what I use it for. I think it’ll be great with one seat in the back for a kid, your future plans sound good also mate, thanks for the watch bud

Nice to have all that space. One quick note though, gas cylinders should be transported in an upright position for safety reasons. I don't know if it is a legal requirement but it is certainly recommended.
@outbackswagging12694 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the watch mate. That is a good point about the gas cylinder, I wasn’t aware of that. Thanks for the support 🙏✌️

Absolutely awesome setup and video man! Wow you've done so well. Unique build love all the custom touches. May I ask. I have the exact same 80 as you and struggling to get a new full exhaust. Most places only make them for either 1hdt. Or a 1hz that is turboed only not a new system for NA. where did you get your 2.5 inch exhaust system from
@outbackswagging12693 жыл бұрын
Gday mate thanks for the view, yeah there has been some sleepless night thinking of how to set it up, the exhaust was on her when I brought it mate but it surprises me that you can’t get a new exhaust, surly they can get one or build one, thanks for the support mate and good luck with your exhaust 🤙
@tagyoureit45004 жыл бұрын
Nice rig m8 have one very similar which I have fitted a turbo still slow af lol but it can hold on keeping pace going up hills loaded on road now a lot of people will tell you a 1hz can’t handle a turbo and that just bs as long as you tune it correctly it will be safe and fine will keep up with a stock 1hdt/ft running the same boost around 10psi

couple of things, if you and the wife sleep in the back, WHERE AM I MEANT TO SLEEP? . the awning you have, seems wasted honestly, as you only use the back mostly. nice setup on the drawers though, that is genius, i take it you can take em out and replace the seats if you have kids?
@outbackswagging12694 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the watch mate. Yeah just a few bolts and they come right out and the seat can go back in. Not sure what I’m going to do with the awning setup yet. Thanks for the support mate 🙏✌️
