Wow!!!! This is AMAZING Desy!!! The amount of details you put into this is fantastic! Those 3D components you used added so much character!!! Another hit my friend!

Thanks so much, Dante! Yes, there's a wealth of files online ready for 3D printing. Took some time, but it was definitely a fun process.

Holy crap Desy you truly are a master of your craft… so many interesting techniques shown here. My jaw literally dropped when you added tiny bits of teal highlights around the small dents on the door to give off the illusion of depth. The magic is in the details and your devotion to that level of realism is what really sets this apart from other incredible dioramas. The amount of patience, focus, and creativity you have is truly admirable, and I enjoyed watching part 1 very much 😁 Thanks for taking the time to film / edit / share your process with us - can’t wait to watch part 2! 🙌🔥

First of all, you produce some great content. Watching you work is almost therapeutic. 22:35 I was wondering if you can do a quick tutorial on how you wired the lights for the diarama and what size diodes did you use. Thank you in advance and keep crafting.
@metamorphiccustoms Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! Appreciate the feedback and glad you're enjoying the content! I will have to make a video on the wiring process - good idea! The Solid leds were 5mm, and the blinking ones were 3mm. If you look in the video description, there are amazon links to the leds I used. Once you get the hang of the wiring/ soldering process, it becomes second nature.

Thanks so much! Hey i started my Diorama by making Warhammer 40K terrain and bases. Had a whole 6' x 4' gaming table setup at one point. The tecniques used here can definitely be applied to wargaming terrain.

Ty for showing your techniques! Awesome dio. Having a 3d printer is a huge game changer for dio builders. Might I ask what 3d printer you have? It must be massive lol
@metamorphiccustoms Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for watching! I have the Anycubic Mono X. Its large for a resin printer, but still pretty small for the size of the components in this dio. I had to break al;l the 3d files down in Meshmixer before bringing them into Lychee. I think a filament printer would have been much easer for the larger components, but since I didnt have one...I gave it a shot on the Mono X.

Desy you are a genius incredible work I would love to try this but I can’t 3D print things. I been watching a lot of your videos today trying to decide which to try next

Thanks so much Dude! Always appreciate yout comments. Hopefully you're onto the next project. I do recommend eventually looking into a 3D printer, but I also admit 3D printers are a hobby all onto their own. (Lots of trial and error at first.)

Love this video! Can you re-link the lights you used for the door again? The ones you said were automotive. I think it must not be in your materials list?

Thanks! I just added the link in the materials list. In the 'LED & adapter' section.

It's really great watching you work. I am curious about the pipes you're painting at the beginning. You start out painting them black, and then start dry brushing them silver. Is the idea to create the illusion that the pipes are silver and became grimy black? Or were the pipes black when new, but then became weather over time and you see the silver weathering from where black paint has worn off over time?
@metamorphiccustoms Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words, Erik! In reality, either approach or conept can be true. In my case, I envisioned their original color as Silver, and the black was the built up grime. (The black base also serves as a good primer coat.) But you can easily envision it the other way around where they were originally black, but the paint has faded away. As long as the final product looks good to you, it works!

It might be just me, but a constructive criticism I could give is that the background music is a bit too loud. Most of the time I cannot concentrate on what you say and keep retro zoning out. 😂 other than that I like the stuff you create. Thanks for the effort. 👍🏻

Thanks so much for the feedback! I struggle to get the right audio levels for the background music, but I'll make an effort to tone it down a bit. Thanks for watching!!!
