Battle Aces is exactly what we needed in RTS genre (if we can call it that). It's innovative, easy to understand and matches are quick. It's not only cool to play it, but it's entertaining to watch it too. I played sc:bw and sc2 all together for about 20 years. Storm Gate to me is just another RTS, another starcraft with different units and lore, doesn't appeal to me at all.

Stormgate really lowered my expectations. This game is 10X better.

heavy ballista is countered by mammoth/behemoth/crusader, + destroyers is overkill, otherwise snipers against slowmoving targets ... and of course a2g airunits

Man, Goliath + tank combo is pretty nice, and oddly familiar, reminds me of childhood for some reason (just need some wraiths)

Mark, you seriously need to play SupCom and Planetary Annihilation. It's macro-heaven and such awesome control mechanics and combat scale (land, sea, air, and orbital, in the case of PA). PA is the best RTS so far, IMO. 16:30: Snipers or Air beat Heavy Bs. Adv Blink can too, though it's more down to micro.
