In other interviews he also likes to continually bring up, “oh he was on our cover first”, “we were actually the first to do a radio interview with them” blah blah, first first first. He is the epitome of a hipster, where he’s piggy backed and relied on other people but will not give them credit and thinks he’s the original and knows what’s what. “…these like young sleuths, that are like you know, amateur detective.” You’re a radio DJ bud, these “amateurs” (civilians, not decorated radio hosts) are just as legitimate as Max Wallace investigating.

Yeah, there isn’t anything I’ve seen other than that he had a drinking problem and has had to mourn Kurt. It was probably also hard going through a divorce with Shelley. I think Krist should be the one to talk on that issue and not Max just throwing stuff out there that paint a narrative that doesn’t he only seems to know about.

I really felt when Kurt was found that day and it was announced on t.v., Not just did Kurt die, our whole city,our music scene and mostly the whole grunge scene just completely died and gone. I'm 2 yrs. younger than him. I don't think it stopped raining for days on end. Plus.....I had 3 friends commit suicide in less than 4mos. time. And all three did heroin and extremely depressed. Not one did I ever expect to kill themselves....but the did. So people think it's gotta be some conspiracy theory cuz you kill yourself is an fing joke.

Really interesting Charles! as a Brit and someone with no knowledge of Tom's activities before Courtney hired him I would never have considered how the politics affected people's interaction with Tom. I really enjoyed this interview - a few of the comments seem to think Wallace is pandering to Courtney but as someone who was a fan of Nirvana since before Kurt died I think he’s accurate in what he says in a lot of ways. I always disliked her, even before the accusations started, but couldn’t not respect her for being a powerful female rock star at that time. Plus I did (and still do) think Live Through This is a great album. Courtney was a big deal back then, especially for a lot of females and he simply put that in context. Also I didn’t particularly feel he was putting Charles down, even if he didn’t just say yes to everything, he still sounded respectful and said he admired the channel. Great work as always Charles! Coming from an ex-news person you’re a great interviewer, researcher and content producer and I don’t get why ASF is so underrated!!!

Exactly. It is interesting that much of her negative energy goes far back to the time when she was just a little kid. Described as "Evil energy projected into her head while she was sleeping." Her mom, Linda Carroll, talked about it a lot. I'm not sure if Courtney even knows what makes her so angry. Also, Courtney's angst differed quite a bit from Kurt's. Very interesting subject.

im the biggest nirvana fan and kurts death was an absolute tragedy, but it was a suicide, heroin addiction takes everything you have family, health etc then it kills you or in kurts case you cant take anymore and make a big mistake! im not having a go but you need to accept hes gone and just enjoy the legacy he left
