My Last Day in Uganda (#56)

Ah Uganda. I was already starting to develop feelings for you, and then you cruelly imposed a nation-wide pandemic lockdown. So be it, I get it. Safety first. But I'm a man on the move, and I had to escape. I had caught the last bus back to Entebbe before inter-district movement was banned, and now there was only one thing left to do: find a way out of the country. Maybe I could convince a boat driver on Lake Victoria to help?

Because of your videos, you made me wanted to visit Uganda. I just got back. I was there for a few weeks unwilling because I didn't know that the there is a travel ban and I couldn't get into Dubai. But I'm glad because I was able to stay longer. Things are very hard to maneuver during curfew and lockdowns but I met some amazing ppl! I would definitely be back! Thank you for your videos! I have become totally infatuated to your videos. I have been married to an Haitian for 31 years and absolutely love my visits to Haiti. I can view glass hotels and rent jet skis here in St. Petersburg Fl. When I go on a vacation thats the last thing I want. My wife's family always tried to makes "accommodations" for me in Haiti, and my family thinks I'm crazy. I just love getting away from the "rat race" and enjoying the simplicity of life. One of those islands in Lake Victoria was in the international media many years ago in the late 1960s when the British High Commissioner to Uganda Faked an abduction to draw sympathy so he could be appointed Ambasssador to the United States by the British government. It was quite a story ! He planned his abduction from Kampala with some Indian co conspirators where they took him to one of those Islands; an international search was launched that included Scotland Yard. For days they could not find him ! Days( maybe weeks later , he turned up and eventually the story came out as a hoax planned by the High Commissioner. It was during Obote's Presidency
