I so enjoyed this :). Between the ages of 9 - 12, I lived in a part of North London where there were two astonishingly well-stocked model shops within walking distance. I could only afford cheaper kits, due to an inability not to immediately spend all my pocket money, on whatever was available, but I was endlessly fascinated by the more esoteric options. I remember making the Heller Liore 45 - very badly :). The Amiot 143, was a kit of my dreams :). I've not made a plastic model in almost 50 years, but this brought it all back! I'm subscribing with delight :). Thank you!

Thanks, and glad of having helped you bring fond memories back to you :) In any case, when someone "gets infested" with the madness about this hobby, money seems like an issue for all ages, because even adult people find their wallet a tad too shrunk when they find stuff that they love X)

Always found these french planes curious projects. Well done .

Thanks. With those bizarre shapes, I would say that they look somehow better as scale models than as a real thing, as if made by some toy-manufacturer who has not that great a knowledge on aviation design and made such things for children or people in general.

Love the modifications you added to this kit. I agree with you the dimensions on this aircraft are so strange, but at the same time it's just a fantastic looking aircraft. A perfect way to end the year :) I look forward to seeing what you build in 2025 :)

Thank you! With such a bizarre design, I would say that it looks like some kind of toy manufactured by someone who does not have much idea about aviation, rather than representing a real thing. I like it better as a scale model.

Great looking model of an odd looking aircraft.. :) You should have used to handcrafted engines, they looked really good.... maybe you can use them for another project in the future? Either way, great end result and I enjoyed the music too.. I needed something jolly but calm to make me relax after work.. :) :) Ps: Having said that, the engine start at the end made me jump...

Thanks, Rob. Maybe I can recycle the engines for some old wrecked kit to restore, but all the others seem okay as they come, unfortunately.

These would have made some of the most monumentally ugly yet irresistible kits in 1/48th! Britain had some "doozies" but they couldn't hold a candle to the weird critters produced by the French. Flying greenhouses with fixed undercarriage.., Four engines...IN TANDEM?... More windows than the Crystal Palace yet were such great lumps to appear in 1/48... I will be the first in line.

Thanks! It seems that even French pilots and crew felt ashamed at been forced to fly winged outdated abortions like this one, and I do understand them. The Amiot 143 also reminds me of an old train wagon.
