That's a great fan. Sounded powerful like and engine in the sun. Good to see all the trees outside now. I'm looking forward to the plant room work, too!

I live in Germany, there are sycomore everywhere. One large in the neighbors garden, so got a lot of seeds. I grew some for the last two years, leaves are large. But I repotted some before winter, not all of them survived, but the one that did have very small leaves, for now at least.

Excited to see how those seeds go, the Bristlecone Pines will be exciting to see, maybe you could style them like ones that set the record for the oldest tree in the world.

Seeds great to have always. Nice to see life springing up. Lots of work, but, done before the rain comes.

Where I live here in the Netherlands there is a large sycamore tree nearby and those seedlings sprout up everywhere. I collected a bunch and placed them in a forest, I also did some experiments with placing a bunch in a clump over a rock. They grow very well and fast. The leaves are a bit big though, perhaps they will reduce later on. And black fly aphids seem to like them. Soap and water works well and the trees don’t bother the soap. Looking forward to see how you develop those trees in the future.

Hi Roger, yes it's the same in the UK with Sycamores. They grow easily and can tolerate a lot. Also like most maples they recover easily from a hard prune or root prune. If left to grow, the leaves can become quite large, but I have a Sycamore Bonsai in my collection and the leaves are only slightly bigger than a Japanese maple. So the leaf size can be reduced over time with a little training. Have you ever tried grafting with these? I'm curious to know if a Japanese maple would graft to a sycamore root base.
@murray8212 жыл бұрын
@@NotAnotherBonsaiChannel I have not grafted yet, would be interesting to make it work, good strong rootstock on sycamores

Nice video Nigel , I’d love to get my hands on some methuselah pine seeds , I had one which was called a millennial tree in the year 2000 . Good luck with them germinating , fingers crossed 🤞

Glad to see that the seeds arrived Nigel and it looks as though the weather is improving, so should be the ideal time to plant them. Using the net as a shade screen? That's an idea, might have to try that myself. I'll keep an eye out for the follow up video. Thanks, all the best!

From Wikipedia: The term bristlecone pine covers three species of pine tree. All three species are long-lived and highly resilient to harsh weather and bad soils. One of the three species, Pinus longaeva, is among the longest-lived life forms on Earth. A few are known to have lived for over 5,000 years. However, growth is extremely slow. A 40-year-old bristlecone pine may not even reach six inches (15 centimeters). ✌🏻🎨☕️

I've been trying to look for a solar-powered fans, but can't find any reasonable around here.. I'm not sure if they post them here, not all the amazon products do. But I found a nice solar powered drip-system, might work also with misting hose.. Nice to see your trees going outside and doing so well! 💚 I lost almost all of my balcony trees, was keeping my fingers crossed, but no luck 😒 Edit: The reference to sauna seems funny to me, since I'm used to bathe in sauna with temperatures from 60 to 80 C 😅
