My Last trip with my Best Friend Isaac... Most Emotional and hardest video I've ever had to make..

I took my boy Isaac out for a nice trip in the woods by the creek. We had to cut it short as the bugs were a bit much for him. I told him we’d be back.
Then just shortly after the unimaginable happened..

Lost my Samson (St. Bernard) in April of this year. Was one of the most difficult experiences of my life to let him go. But the memories of how he made not only my life but so many other lives better will remain. And I am a firm Believer I will see him again in the world to come. If not one sparrow falls to the earth without the Father, surely these furry packages of love are taken back to Himself. Thanks for sharing, we lost our little dachshund at the beginning of this year and this made me think of him. It's amazing how dogs can touch your life and it's even harder when they grow up with your kids. Dogs are certainly a gift from God so it's hard to believe they won't be there waiting when we make it home in heaven. Best of wishes to you and your family!

So sorry. Love to you and the family. I refused to get a dog for years because of the pain of losing them but now have a 4.5 year old German Shepherd and a 4.5 year old, Rottweiler/ChowChow/Pit mix. They are both healthy and happy, but I already dread the day they will no longer be with me. They are more than companions to me. We spend all day together, every day and can pretty much read eachother's minds.

That video just tore a hole clean through me. I am crying like a little kid and I can't stop thinking of all my beautiful furry friends I have lost through the years. I found my baby Chihuahua Lola passed away and had to bury her in my backyard. It was 15 degrees and ground was frozen solid. I had frozen tears on my face. My son came home when I was about finished, he saw me digging and realized she was gone. Horrible day. He loved her and had helped her when she gave birth to her only litter. Perfect dog. I am sure Isaac was a perfect best dog too. Its hard to deal with losing them. They seem to want nothing else but to make us happy. I think they understand us better than we do them, for sure. The Lord will bring you peace and understanding.

Issac had an awesome life, with a family that loved him. He had more trips than most dogs every have because you were so adventurous!!! I still laugh at that boat trip you had when he jumped into that little boat, with the whole family and almost capsized it. Seeing that again, still makes me laugh ... I think that really shows what Issac meant to you and your whole family :- "NO DOG LEFT BEHIND". even on at tiny boat trip. Issac would thank you for his wonderful life, you have taken him everywhere. He will always be with you in spirit. Chad, I'm a big, tough guy, 6'7", 260 lbs who never loses control and who runs toward the emergency. I've been sitting here bawling my eyes out over your loss of Isaac and your wonderful video eulogy. I went through that same hurt 16 years ago. I'm a cat person. I had a 20 lb Manx (the one without a tail) named Bob who was the smartest creature I've ever been around. He was a totally indoor cat but I took him RVing with me (the MH didn't move without him in it.) Unfortunately on one of those trips he caught a virus that made his heart enlarge to fill his whole chest. 12 years ago, he died in my arms. He gave me a pat on the cheek with one paw and then just stopped breathing. I was a basketcase for days. Then the most incredible thing happened. I live in the Cherokee National Forest on the Tellico river in TN. This is a national trout fishing destination and there is a Fish Hatchery a mile up the road that stocks about 100,000 rainbow trout a year. One day at the general store, we were sitting around when the manager of the hatchery came in and asked if anyone would like a kitten. I had misgivings because of my recent loss but since I lived alone, I went and looked. When I looked in the pet carrier, it 'bout knocked me off my feet. There was Bob in kitten form. Of course I took him. Fred turned 16 in July and is still fine and healthy. But I know I'll be facing the same loss in a few years. I meandered around about Bob to give you this advice. Get another Isaac puppy ASAP! I know the hurt is awful now but having a puppy in the family will make things get better so much faster. I'll never get over Bob. He was that one companion in a person's life who leave the indelible mark that nothing can replace. I'll never truly get over him but Fred has made it so much better. I can now look at an oil painting I had done of Bob with only fondness and almost no grief. While I'm writing I want to tell you how much I love this channel and your family. I discovered it about 2 months ago and have watched every video. You and your family give me some hope for this world. Your girls are amazing. Please keep making videos. My only question is, why the UP? You passed through TN. Here's where you should have stopped!!! John.

Hi John, thanks for that. Those are some pretty cool cats. And that was a lot of years. We’re going to hold off on another dog as we have Kerchak who is our outside guardian dog and we have Kala who is also an outdoor livestock guardian who stays in the fence with the cows and sheep. And we actually looked at a couple properties in Tennessee but since we have family in lower Michigan we decided to move closer but not too close in the Upper part. Alabama was way to hot in the summer months to be enjoyable and when we looked at property in Tennessee is was just as hot and humid. Tennessee is beautiful and I’d still like property there one day but for now we need to plant some roots. Give Fred a good pay on the head for me. Take care John!
