Here we are, many years later. This is the best Latisse video I have seen. Helpful tips are included here. I agree with those who commented that Kate is a natural and more videos would be awesome.

I know this is an old video, I noticed the people in your comments are super negative and I don’t know why that is. I read comments all the time and it’s typically not like this. I hope that didn’t discourage you from making videos. You’re very beautiful and many ppl are negative and miserable. Thank you for this review! I started my first day with latisse today!

I've been using the actual bimatoptost drop which I buy for $20 online for the past 5 years or so. No eye colour changes, a little darkening of the eyelid, which I actually like the look of. My lashes are crazy long, I look femenine and I don't waste money on lash extensions. I looooove it, but I wouldn't pay latisse money for it when you can just buy the eye drops themselves for a fraction of the price.

Thank you. Very informative. I use Latisse, but if you don't have a lot of hair follicles, then you won't get all the great lashes. I lost all my eyelashes when I had chemo. They came back short, thin and brittle. When I was young, they were long and thick without mascara. Latisse helped mine a little, but not a whole lot due to the chemo and my lack of hair follicles now. Yours look GREAT!

Try careprost! its literally like $30-35 a bottle I get mine from: *beautyinaboxshop.com/* they have excellent customer service, its ships FREE from the US and they ship super fast! read their reviews on their site and on facebook too, and email them for coupons, sometimes they have for new customers. they sell it under "eyelash growth solution" and they also sell retin-a!!! the owners are really nice and will answer your questions xx

@@Pipsterz I use the same application process under discussion, but I sterilize my brush with rubbing alcohol after using it each night. The solution does get into my eyes a bit, unlike mascara and eyeliner (usually), and I have sensitive eyes so I don't want to risk creating a problem for myself. Good luck!

I used this product for 4 months. Yes, it made my lashes longer, but once I read several studies and an eye wiki written by ophthalmologists, I found out it shrinks the fat in the eye area and eventually can cause eyes to look tired or sunken. So I stopped.

I have to say after watching one of your previous video's and you sharing then that you were using Latisse, I went and got it. I had seen it on tv before, and I was considering it for a while. I too was scared that my blue eyes would turn brown, but I rationalized that if they started I too would stop the use of it. Well I am about a month into it and I can already see some growth, and it seems to have made my blue eyes bluer, if that's possible, lol. My husband actually pointed it out. My eyes have always changed colors, and now the go from grey to bright blue. It's kinda cool. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this! (Mae)

Oh my gosh, I'm so happy that you are enjoying the Latisse so far! I feel like in your Advocare video you lashes are really popping...if you are already seeing a difference, imagine what they will be like when they fully go through the cycle. And I'm so jealous that your eyes look even bluer! I totally think that's possible to happen, maybe because your lashes are getting darker the blue really stands out? I'm curious to know if you end up experiencing any of the weird but not worrisome side effects I have. Keep me posted! x

You're eyes are so beautiful, you have a piercing blue, nothing to be jealous over here :-) I Actually noticed the change when my husband pointed it out to me. My eyes change colors usually but not to the bright blue that the did, and he also said that the green around my pupil was a little brighter too. What ever its from (darker lashes or the prescription itself) I'm not complaining :-) I haven't has any side effects at all. Not even dry eyes (Now that I say that I will, lol) I use it religiously every single day, and I don't use the applicators provided, I have a makeup brush that I sanitize with each use. I can not wait until the full cycle is complete, I am in love with your lashes! They are so pretty!! I will post an update once I share with my page that I am actually using this, lol.

when she said the price i almost chocked! thats a lot to spend on ones eyelashes! of course, if you can afford it and if you really want to try out the product then you should go for it! but if you are looking for a more cost efficient way to get longer lashes i reccommend using vitamin E oil (or any moisturizing oil such as jojoba, castor, coconut, etc) you will still get great results with these alternatives :)

Idk if anyone said this but those w blue eyes need not worry--it only has the potential to darken brown pigments so those w hazel or brown eyes. Plus that was when used for its intended original application (I believe glaucoma) where it's dropped into the eye directly. But even then it was a smaller % of people. So if you have brown in your eyes just don't get it in your eyes! I have light brown eyes & had no color change. I did notice some slight darkening of my side undereye like a faint shadow bc I tried to use it on my lower lashes despite instruction not to so a) now I know why lol and b) i stopped applying it there and it quickly returned back to normal. I'm trying to find a good natural (non chemical) serum to grow lashes back after my Latisse dream became a nightmare. Please rec if u had success w one. I had really long lashes naturally but tried Latisse anyway (read: greedy!). My lashes began lightly shedding a few weeks after starting but I persisted and it paid off as I got visibly thicker & even longer lashes! I looked like I was wearing falsies w/ mascara before but now it looked like I had 2 Falsies stacked lol. I only used 1 bottle and stopped maybe 2-2.5 months ago. My lashes started shedding drastically within a couple weeks! I even had a huge bald patch on my R eyelid! Now they are short and stubby literally half the length--I can tell because I have 2 long lashes left on each side still and they're more than 2x as long as the new regrowth. The regrowth is SO MUCH shorter than even my natural length. I had used the leftover of the nightly application drop on my brows and even my L brow still has bald patches. Some might say "wait longer they're still growing in," but they all started falling out and regrowing at diff times but have all stopped or finished growing at the same length and I know my lashes & brows take 2 months tops to grow from 0 to full yet it's 2.5 months and I'm left w/ stubs and patchiness. I never read anything that said your lashes would grow back worse when you stopped! I don't think I would ever again use or recommend Latisse/bitmatoprost to anyone! Esp if you already have good lashes! Don't risk it! Unless you intend to use it forever but I've read it stops working for some women after a year and now I've read accounts of women whose lashes never grew back normally months or even years later! Claire Danes bye.

Very good review. I was just chatting with my hairstylist about this the other day. She uses it and LOVES IT! Does't miss a night. She even said that sometimes when she has been at a party or is exhausted and falls asleep with her mascara on,she will still put a very small layer on the base. Lol. I had very very long lashes when I was young that curled as well. So long that one day they were bothering me so much by toughing & tickling my eyebrows/eyelid when I would blink or look surprised.... So, I got little baby cuticle scissors and cut them down a bit. I regret that now. But luckily, I had good eyelashes in the first place that it wasn't such a terrible thing ( I'm trying to convince my 8-10 year old self that I had good reasons! They were tickling my eyebrows! Hahaha) But they never really grew back to the thickness and length as they were before. And they fall out from time to time :( I recently started putting organic coconut oil,vitamin e,& castor oil sometimes. Or just one of then to make them less brittle. But my hairstylist's lashes looked so good that I thought they were just natural looking falsies. So now I am looking into trying it out because the first thing a person notices about me is my smile and my eyes. Oh and I have BLUE EYES AND VERY FAIR SKIN. Any advice? Techniques? You get it through your dermatologist correct. How do I go about getting deals on it like some people do? I just wanna be sure I'm getting the best REAL stuff if I am going to spend that kind of money. You can DM ME, comment here, Instagram noellie87.... Comments welcome!!!! And before and after or after pics of that's possible. If not, don't worry about it! Enjoy life. It's precious. And most of all be thankful for your health. I am going to beat my battle with chronic Lyme Disease one day but until then, educate yourself. Here is a link with some info www.lymedisease.org. Thanks for reading my novel on Latisse. Hahaha!!!!! I'm tired & rambling.....
@merk8es
@merk8es 9 жыл бұрын
Hi Noelle! Thank you so much for watching! That is so funny about your hairstylist. I am super dedicated to using my Latisse, but she definitely has me beat! I am so sorry to hear about your battle with chronic Lyme Disease. A friend of mine is going through the same thing and I admire her and your strength! As far as the Latisse, I also have very fair skin naturally, and i definitely have discoloration. I am a daily foundation wearer though, so it doesn't really bother me, but it is definitely there. I will say what has helped quite a bit is me being a little less heavy handed with it. I used to really load it on until my lashes felt wet at the base, which really wasn't necessary. I also started using an eyeliner brush that has a tip that is much smaller than the Latisse brushes, so compared to what it was like before, it's barely noticeable. For less expensive alternatives, a few people have mentioned Careprost and someone else talked about lab lash in the comments as alternatives to Latisse. Someone else also mentioned that you can buy bimatoprost 3% online for less as well. I haven't tried any of these options though so can't personally vouch for them, but it might be worth researching!

I use Latisse and it works. I have brown eyes so it’s not something I’m worried about. A new side effect is fat loss around the eyes which basically ages you around the eyes. I started getting a little uneven fat loss on my eye lids so it’s driving me crazy. Of course that could be just natural aging as well so it may or may not be caused by lattise, but it has been reported recently as a side effect.
@kateprueher802

It's so crazy you say that, because my friend started using it after me and she said that it started making her dark circles darker after about a month, so she stopped using it. So crazy that years later it is proven as a side-effect!
@anne853
@anne853 Жыл бұрын
The studies seem to indicate that the skin discoloration and fat loss are reversible. I’m going to try to apply the smallest amount along my lash line so it doesn’t get all around my skin or in my eyes. There’s got to be a safer way to use this. Last time I checked, there were none of the side effects associated with the bimatoprost eye drops ever reported to the FDA regarding Latisse use. But I do see women reporting them on social media. I used generic Latisse years ago without side effects. I got major lash growth. I only stopped because I was an inconsistent 20 year old. I’m going to try again.

honestly dont use applicator disinfect ur pinky, make sure it's dry, use one drop for each eye (right pinky for right, left for left) been doing this for 3 years now. One bottle lasts me waaayyyy longer. Also my lashes grew so long and thick within 3 weeks. After one month i only put it 2-3 times a night. Maintains it. However: ur eyes look more sunken. Which can look nice (seductive) but also aging (loss of fat)

Hi, I started using mine last night. I have sensitive skin so I was afraid of potential irritation but woke up this morning and my eyes feel fine. I used the one drop in the lid trick and one drop was enough for both eyes. I also wiped the still damp brush on my scant outer eyebrows.One comment, I did speak to my eye doc and he said(off the record) that the color changes some people experience happened with Lumigen, the original drug used for Glaucomma. These drops were put directly in the eye. He said he never knew of a case where this happened with Latisse, the lid discoloration was a different story. Thank you for taking the time to share your information. May my lashes be half as lovely as yours.

Please help me I have a question. I went to a VA Doc a year ago, and after a check up, asked for Latisse. He informed me that "I couldn't afford it, so no." I can afford it by the way. Heartbroken, I decided to look online for a doctor, and pay out of pocket for another exam. While checking online, I found out that you could get the generic without a prescription and happily started ordering it. Unfortunately, it would take four weeks to get here. However it was worth it, and within three months I was so happy with my lashes, I knew I would belong to the Latisse for Life club. The company went out of business, and I thought I was ok, I still had two bottles. I looked earnestly, a month passed and I didn't find one. The last bottle turned out to be empty. So here is my question, it has been a month, if I restart the bimataprost, will it work ? I heard that if you use Rogaine, and stop, you can't start using it again ? BTW, that eye doctor works for the VA in Tyler. He is good with the actual eye stuff, but his bedside manner is testament as to why he was moved from the Dallas VA to here.

I would use Minoxodil. It's generic Rogaine. You can buy it at Target...a 3 bottle pack (get the men's the women's is weaker) is like $19 and when they have 25% off Beauty/personal care it's even cheaper. The 3 bottles last FOREVER since it's just on your brows not your a scalp. I keep the unopened ones in the fridge. I apply w/ a cheap elf angled brush--it's thickness (bc it's cheap lol) actually helps get the liquid on your brows! Just use the dropper to put a drop on the brush & apply. I set reminders & took pics the same time of day (=same lighting) in the same spot in my bathroom every week the first month and then every month for the next 5 months & made a "brows" album on my phone. Within 2 weeks I saw growth but the photos really help see otherwise unnoticeable progress. In 2 months I saw so much growth. You don't realize you pluck as much as you do bc I thought I barely plucked! DON'T TOUCH the tweezers! It's key! Seriously. I started 2 years ago and used it 2x a day for the first year but now I just do it when I remember a few times a week. Putting it by your toothbrush helps. Oh and I recommend using Just for Men the beard dye to tint them--apply w a v thin angled brush in hair like strokes. Same as brow dye but cheaper. (KZbin it--it dyes the skin too so gives you a microbladed effect for 5 days!). I wouldn't recommend Latisse --I had a bad exp (I'll post that in another comment after this one). TL;DR Had massive shedding & lash/brow bald patches after stopping. 2.5 months later I have stubby lashes & a patchy brow. I had good brows (after the minoxodil) & great lashes b4 and got greedy!

Thank you so much for your nice comment! I am wary to recommend if you think you aren't going to be consistent, because am verrry anal about making sure I use it every night, so am not sure if you would get the best results if you didn't. However, I watch Tyme the Infamous here on youtube and she said she only uses it every other night and has had success with it, so maybe if you could at least do it that often it would be enough. Maybe just keep it in your bedside table so it's easy to pop on before your head hits the pillow.

The whole "latisse turns blue eyes brown" is pretty misleading. Their glaucoma medication (exact same ingredient) that goes *directly* onto the eye caused increased brown pigmentation in a very small percentage of people. In theory latisse could cause some brown pigmentation but it's pretty unlikely and I don't think there have been any reported cases with latisse itself. The active ingredient is another story.

thanks for the honest review, but I wonder why you were prescribed lattice with average lashes to begin with? you said it was for people with sparse lashes, medical conditions, etc. holy crap the benefits do not outweigh the risks. lash extensions are affordable, widely available, and look even better, IMO.
@passengershaming
@passengershaming 6 жыл бұрын
because they will prescribe it to you if you want longer, thicker, darker, etc. lashes. it's cosmetic (and up to you), not medical -- but it does require an Rx if that makes sense :) so if it's something you'd like, you just ask for the Rx

Sadly once you stop using Latisse, your lashes go back to their original state in a couple of months. It's such a bummer! And I feel like it will be one of those things where I will feel like my lashes are worse than before because I'm so used to having them much fuller and longer. Kind of like when I wear my clip in extensions. But I hope they come up with something some day where you can just take a pill and your lashes are long for life!

Latisse has a patent on the product that's good for the next few years. Generics have been approved by the FDA, but they legally cannot become commercially available until the Latisse patent expires, which I believe is in either 2023 or 2025. If it's true that you have a generic and you aren't just fibbing online I just ask that you PLEASE be careful as to where you're sourcing it from (especially if it's a product claiming to have the same ingredient) because you're probably going to end up unknowingly doing harm to yourself :( I don't mean to be rude or anything, but seeing this concerned me a little
