I’ve always thought when doing a reno one must kill off the lawn wait till it turns yellow, scalp it, spray another application of roundup then power rake to the point of having raw dirt. Then proceed to seed. Am I wrong?

Keeping the gear up is a good idea. The neighbors stray seed, hay and bailers necessitate constant renovation. Might be time to move to a golf course. Teflon resurfacing the mower blade guard will keep the sticky green stuff off. Try Swiss Navy silicon lube to keep it slick in between. There are other brands but the cost is too high.

Hey Connor, you take such good care of your home and stuff that I’m sure you’ll want to take care of that new Ram too. The beds don’t come with rear wheel house liners anymore, so rocks and gravel will fly up and hit the inside surface of the rear wheel house and chip and begin rusting. You should fix that problem with the OEM Mopar wheel house liners, $200. Ask your dealer. Otherwise love your lawn! Keep throwin’ er down!

As much as it looks awesome to have a monoculture of KBG it is impossible to keep the same grass for very long unfortunately. No matter what the rye, poa annua and other varieties of grasses keep drifting in on the wind and eventually we gave up. I'm tempted to go back to natural and get a white clover lawn going -- good for the bees, requires little mowing and looks pretty darn good for a 50 ft. lawn (looks good from 50 ft away, like garbage any closer).
@chrisfink15 жыл бұрын
it is controllable with a lot of hard work. spot treat treat the areas that creep in and the kbg will fill in the bare spots. kbg takes patience but once it comes in it is very resilient.
