Keep telling kids that always. Keep reminding them that true friends are *SCARCE,* whereas wrong people are only *USERS* and they don't care about their friends closest to them. When they commit serious crimes and get into trouble with the law, they can always pass the rap onto your children and let them take the blame. That is why they always have naive friends as losers ones who take the fall for them.

This is so far beyond hanging with the wrong crowd or making a wrong decision. She slaughtered people. And then played in their blood. There were numerous places she could have stopped and turned around. That's what kids need to be taught. How to notice when the train is coming off the rails and needs to be jumped from.

No...they already decided they werent going to grant her parole. Why would she manufacture a mile long list of people to say SORRY to get released? The victims and most of their family members are dead the question was an obvious trickbag. They never intended to release her. Her answer WAS taking responsibility. Her stating that SHE was the person she did the most damage to is all too true. She not only destroyed Sharon tates chance to live to her potential but the moment patricia did this her own future was gone. Reality check here people...whats your REAL issue here? You need to really get honest here because your issues seem to be more with the person you see in front of you than the person she was 50 years ago. Thats what IM hearing in your comments. You even admit you really do think she turned her life around. I think its an issue of PRIDE. You already saw that in 1969 she was a heartless bloodthirsty robot. So....you could tell yourself..IM NOT LIKE THAT. I COULD NEVER DO THAT. IM NO MONSTER..and give it no thought. However the patricia you see in front of you here is an actual HUMAN BEING. When she talks about everything in her life after meeting Charles manson leading to that night in 8/9/1969 shes no longer somebody making you feel you can puff your chest out like a pouter pigeon IM BETTER THAN YOU. You realize that 1. This could have been YOU 2. Our own righteousness is like filthy rags becore Him...and most of us have SERIOUS SERIOUS issues with this...and our way is never in ourselves. Im sure your first response to what im saying here....SHE SOUNDS CRAZY. And i have no doubt itll make your inner man swell up and hiss like Simba defending his pride. In other words its going to make you ANGRY. The TRUTH has a way of doing that.

When you divide the number of years she has served against the number of victims, it's roughly 6 1/2 years per life. Do you think 46 years is enough for seven deaths? Make that eight deaths. People forget, somehow, Sharon Tate was pregnant when this woman and her co-defendants broke into that house and butchered without hesitation seven people, including an unborn baby that was almost due. No, she needs to stay in prison for life.

My advice to Krenwinkle: Resign yourself to your punishment for what you did all those years ago. You took a knife, raised it (your own admission), chased Abigail Folger onto the lawn of the Tate house and proceeded to slash and stab her as many times as you were able. Sticking a knife into a human body is as up-close-and-personal as it is as possible to be and you didn't care. You blame your actions on the lack of love and affection in your early life. There are millions of people in this world who don't have parents for whatever reason and never know what that kind of love is like, yet they don't go on to slaughter innocent people in what should have been the security of their home. What you did was hateful, spiteful, vicious and unforgivable. Don't ask for forgiveness where there is none. Nothing you could ever do or say in this life can compensate for the incomprehensible action you took that night. I am vehemently opposed to the death penalty and your experience and that of your fellow killers is a prime example of how to punish by permanently removing your right to freedom and you should expect nothing more from Society. Nothing you say now can undo the actions you chose to chose to take, not just on the one night but on the following day too. You are no longer part of Society and that is how it should be for the remainder of your life. I wish you no harm but wish you nothing at all.

Krenwinkle was convicted for seven murders. She has spent 46 years in prison. Doing the math, that is 6.57 years per victim. That simply is not enough time. In this case, it is clear to me that anything less than dying in prison for this individual and her cohorts would be a miscarriage of justice.

I was an 8 year Old boy when this happened 2 months short of being nine years old, and feeling such fear that people could do such a thing, and the next night Rosemary and her husband were also murdered by the same psychos, we didn’t know it was the mansion family at that time, I have always checked in over the years to see what was going on with these murders, I am now 58 years old and my heart still goes out to the victims Families every time I hear the words helter-skelter or a Beatles song I think of The victims families and how they’re dealing with it they also got a life sentence the victims familys should not have to go to Parole meetings to keep these murderers in prison, they took lives and that means they have given up there own lives, give these families peace of mind by keeping these murders in jail for the rest of their natural life, without parole this can help ease the victims families with peace of mind

Patricia was I believe the second most active participant ( after Tex ) in not 1 but 2 nights of mass murder . Tex later said it was him and not Susan who killed Sharon -I tend to believe him as this confession came many many years later . Susan Atkins was the original star witness but I believe she refused to go along with a lot of the concocted story , so they c hose Kasabian instead . I don't know but there is definitely more to the story that has been hidden.

@Julia A Just going by my own experience...When tripping to the max ,I've encountered people having a considerable worse time than me...On several occasions .eg a young girl ready to jump from the 18th floor... another eg.Someone bleeding from the thigh ,in the dark... even a sheep that had its ear bitten off...and each time I was there wiv a compassionate heart, the same compassionate heart I have today..Though I no longer have Lsd for Lunch and Supper...Regards Charlie I'm not Judging him ,I simply said if I was in a precarious situation ,Where I needed the assistance of another human being..I would prefer to be assisted by him than by this 'female follower'...because as unreal as Lsd gets..ie.Fantabulous hallucinations where people aren't even people anymore... I still sustain that If you're in control egnough to carry out an act for someone to choose and like you...Ie..Compete with others in the hope of recieving a bit of love,Then you would also graphically sense the pain ,pleas even the discomfort of another human that was in your personal space...I have taken a lot of Lsd, Pretty decent strong Lsd...and I cant fathom for a moment how such a dispassionate violent act could be carried out against a beautiful Woman ;Unless the knife wielder had a heart set in stone, with an atrocious selfish longing 4 Love ? Beautitful women on acid appear as just that, but heavenly and the flesh of the murderous woman would 9f sensed a total maniacal depravity to carry out this brutal act...'cos no matter where Lsd takes your mind, your physical senses would be hieghtened in the moment...believe me you'ld have to have the senses of a total maniac to keep on stabbing a beautiful young woman...I cant allow 'The drugs made me do it ";on this one...

These crimes don't even compare to proper horrific crimes. Josef Stalin’s forced starvation genocide against the Ukraine from 1932 to 1933. Death Toll between 1.8 to 12 Million. 1.1 million were murdered at Auschwitz During WWII. During the 1400s Gilles De Rais raped, tortured and killed hundreds of little children, mostly boys. In 1977 Kenneth Bianchi and Angelo Buono Raped and killed 10 Girls aged 12 to 28. Jeffrey Dahmer murdered and dismembered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. This list could continue forever, crimes like the Tate murders happen around the world everyday but no one cares unless the victims are rich famous and beautiful.

Kenneth McDuff... He was convicted 3 counts of murder and rape. He was sent to death row and was one of 20 former death row inmates paroled in 1989. He was believed to have started killing again within a few days of his release from prison. He killed 8 more women. He was eventually caught and executed on November 17,1998.

Indeed, McDuff should have been executed the FIRST time, but his three murders before his release is still less than half of the seven murders Krenwinkel was convicted of. If anything, his being released (and then killing eight more people) serves as an example as to WHY we should NEVER release serial killers.

Patricia Krenwinkel dragged coffee heiress Abigail Folger from her bedroom to the living room, fought with her, and stabbed her. When Folger tried to escape following the first round of stabbing, Patricia was said to have chased Folger as she ran outside screaming. According to Patricia, she pinned Folger to the ground and further stabbed her; the victim pleaded with her to stop by saying, "Stop, I'm already dead".[2] Katie continued to stab her so brutally that Folger's white nightgown appeared red to police investigators the following day. After stabbing Folger, Krenwinkel went back inside and summoned Watson, who also stabbed Folger. During her trial, Krenwinkel said, "...I stabbed her and I kept stabbing her."[3] When asked how it felt, Krenwinkel replied: "Nothing, I mean, what is there to describe? It was just there, and it was right.

Her childhood simple primed her to be vulnerable to attention from men like Charles Manson who was a master manipulator. Charles sought out broken abused lonly females who were estranged in one way or another from their family with no support system. women that he knew he could control. He knew exactly what to say and do to make her dependant on him and trust him. She made horrible choices while she was with him but I don't think that she would have done any of those things had Charles Manson not taken over her life. You have to remember the women in Manson's cult were pimped out by Manson for favors from other men. While they were murders they were victims themselves before they took their first life at his command.

I think Krenwinkel is a good example of how very few people are inherently evil. A person may do horrible, horrible evil things, but that level of humanity that allows them to step back and realize what they've done is what separates a criminal like Krenwinkel - who certainly does still deserve to stay in prison - from someone like Manson, who has clearly never felt remorse for any of his evil a day in his life. They are both horrible criminals, but one is someone I can see as human, and one I just can't see the humanity in at all.

It took quite a bit more than an order from Charlie, just as it took quite a bit more than an order from the Furher for the Holocaust to happen. It's the people who say "I could never do something like that" who worry me because they aren't aware of their own vulnerabilities, and are therefore exactly the kind of people who WOULD do that if they ended up in the same situation. If you really believe that you wouldn't have done what she did in her situation or wouldn't have been a Nazi in Germany in WW2, or a slave owner, you aught to look at some of the early psychology studies. @Chatta-Ortega strictly my opinion. It is also my opinion that not one member of the Manson "family" was remorseful at all, including Manson himself. Any woman that would allow a man to convince her to slaughter an 8-months-pregnant woman plus others, while he kept his hands clean, has something wrong with her that prison can't fix. The only way to keep her from profiting from her atrocities and to keep society safe is to keep her incarcerated, just like Manson was. Even if her remorse is authentic, she's still exactly where she belongs. I understand your opinion and respect it.

I was 6 years old living in Southern California when this happened. I've tried my entire life to understand HOW Manson got all of those people to believe his bs. I was afraid of her and her family when I was a kid. I think I still am because as much as I want to believe her, I don't. I'm positive she's sorry she got caught. I'm positive she's sorry for what she did to her REAL family. I'm not positive she really thinks about the victims and their families much at all. 7 people died over 2 days because of her and her family. That's more than enough

@@wimvanaerde6249 you're right and I'm sorry I didn't include him. He's a forgotten victim of this tragedy. I think it was the news about Sadie saying she wanted to cut the baby out that still creeps me out. As a little kid, all I could think about was if they would hurt a baby, they'd have no problem killing my 6 yr self. I really did have the worst nightmares and my Mom even banished the news at dinner time because of it.

I think she was very brave to share these things about herself. We have a long way to go if we don't learn to be compassionate to criminals. Shaming and blaming them only pushes them further into denial and out of the realm of healing.

Pat was a victim of emotional deprivation and neglect as a child. As I was myself, on top of my mother attempting to take my life (intervention saved me). And I relate to what she was saying in this light. I did make many mistakes as a result, suffered alcoholism. And past occasional drug taking. But in no way would I ever have contemplated committing such a cruel, monstrous crime. To anyone, lest to strangers. No one could have made me do it - I would have rather been shot myself. No one can force us to do what we do not want to. Drugs or no drugs. Sorry Pat, that is in you, Charlie saw this in you and just brought it to the fore to serve his interests, and you made your bed. You said yes freely to it. As it fulfilled your needs and desires regardless of who suffered. In your interview I lost count on the amount of ‘I, I, I’. All about you. No thought of the pain of others you created. It was all about you and still is. You are responsible and guilty. You don’t like the consequences is all. If you did not get caught, you would have gone onto to do worse. Do your time. Offer up to God your suffering for any chance for God’s forgiveness of an unforgivable crime in his eyes. Your insecurities, Pain and childhood maltreatment was ‘no excuse’ for this evil crime. Countless millions suffered worse than you and never did what you did. Charlie’s childhood was worse but you blame him, and excuse yourself for same reasons. Charlie did evil, but is at least doing his time without pleading poor me. He knows he deserves to be in prison, as you do.

The girls all blame Manson. Let’s put the shoe on the other foot. If the girls and Tex Watson hadn’t committed the murders, Manson wouldn’t have gone to prison for life.

Charlie never admitted to anything, including that he needed to be in prison. He let the others take the blame while he denied, denied, denied. He was a predator who took advantage of people through mind altering drugs and dogma. It happens every day all over the world. He was a Jim Jones.

She starts out with a complete lie when she stated this all started out between one man and one woman. By the time "Krenny" met Charlie in 1967, he already had a harem that included Mary Brunner, Squeeky Fromme and Ruth Ann Morehouse. In fact, Brunner became pregnant with Charlie's baby soon after Krenwinkel very willingly came into the group. All I am hearing from her is "me, me, me" and it is so typical of a sociopath who is going for the pity play.

Nene Jones She didn’t know there was a Harlem waiting for her when he first seduced her. I agree they’re all sociopaths, psychos but they’ve all grown old in prison & I believe what they say they got no reason to lie now. Justice was served💗

When she met Manson she thought it was her and him, like boy meets girl...not a harem of girls. And as far as people stating she is sociopath...she is not, nor psychopath. This is someone who made VERY poor choices out of neediness. Wanting to belong. Combination of that and constant lsd...dangerous. Never say never...And stay away from drugs!

You could be remorseful a hundred times over!!! You still stole the lives of innocent people!!!!! Those poor people were begging for their lives and YOU heard with your own ears and SAW with your own eyes, the horror and pain in especially that pregnant woman’s eyes and YOU still stabbed and tortured her. YOU deserve to rot in jail!!!!!!!! If you were abused as a child, why would you wish suffering on someone else?! These killers were NOT punished enough. Death is final and these people have the audacity to want a second chance. 😡
