So happy to see you all settled in and in the container home. Lou did such an amazing job getting everything that your family needs to be ready. May I offer a suggestion, and maybe some thing to consider? If you converted the window in the kitchen to a door you would be able to access the office without walking around and outside. If you can close that area up with a roof and outside walls or barrier, then maybe use the wooden stove there and it can be an outdoor playroom for Max during the winter. As the weather gets colder in may be important and more convenient to have inside access to the office. Love the guided meditation and looking forward to when they are release. Than you for sharing your journey with us. You have no idea how many people you are affecting helping and inspiring . Blessings to your family.❤️❤️❤️

I completely understand owning a wood burning fireplace where I live. It's fantastic for winter time living in Colorado where we get really really bad winters and it gets freezing here with lots of snow and it does get really hot but it is a lot of maintenance. You have to clean up the ashes all the time. You have to have wood and wood is not cheap to keep buying and if you don't buy it you'll have to cut it down which is labor and takes physical work and time and it does get very hot and it's hard to control the heat. But it is very nice for winter so I can understand where you're coming from

I nursed until my child was 2 and a half. Natural weaning is what’s healthiest for the child, physically and emotionally. I think as long as we’re paying proper attention to why our child is still nursing (self-soothing, hunger, attachment, etc) and our own personal desires/attachments to why we’re still nursing (I mean from mama’s point of view) then just let it all happen naturally. Do what’s best for mama and baby.

I’m so excited to hear that you’ll be doing guided meditation videos. What originally drew me to your videos was yours and Lou’s voice. There is something so calming about the timber and fluctuation of your voices that is so soothing. Sometimes I replay your older videos as a way to soothe myself when I get super overwhelmed. Meditations, narrating, I can’t wait to hear what you do. I would love meditations on finding peace with where one is in the present. I find that I’m always pushing and pushing for this out of reach future that I feel bogged down in the present rather than enjoying it.

I just wanted to mention that with Jesus, I have found eternal peace and I meditate on His word and want to encourage you to give God all your burdens and to realize you don't have to do anything alone because God is here. Ask Him to show you the way. "Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares." 1 Peter 5:7 "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." 1 Timothy 1:7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Philippians 4:6 "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil: for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." Psalm 23:4 "Fear not, For I am with you; Be not dismayed, For I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous hand." Isaiah 41:10 xoxo

I’m so encouraged by your sweet little family. The very simple life you’ve cultivated for yourselves pairs beautifully with your ever growing desire for adventure. God’s word says in Psalm 139:13 “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Dana you have a Heavenly Father who knows you better than you know yourself, He made you, He loves you, He desires relationship with you. In your weakest state, fragile, filled with overwhelm and anxiety, He sees you and desires to lift that burden from you. We can’t lift it ourselves, only temporarily soothe our physical bodies. Our Heavenly Father offers rest for our eternal souls, and a peace that surpasses all understanding, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 God bless you in all of your endeavors from one momma to another!

I have to say, sorry to you both but I have left your channel. We are not vegans but veggies, we have followed you for a very long time. As a family we can’t understand how you have gone from one extreme to another. Maybe you didn’t do it for the animals in the first place? Please don’t put your son as the main reason because that is unfair as he isn’t old enough to make a decision one way or another. We are a family of mixed values and diets.But as a follower we do not understand your sudden change but that is your choice. We wish you well but we can’t support you anymore

THIS! My thoughts exactly. I am not even vegan, I have been vegetarian for 6 or 7 years and since I was pregnant I sometimes eat fish. But that is not even something about being vegan or not. It it literally SHOCKING to go from “vegan 10 years (apparently)” to suddenly want to hunt deers and skin your own chickens. How can they go instantly from one extreme to the other is mind boggling to me. And yes, clearly they were never vegan for the animals, more so for the “healthy diet” and the trend. I am even wondering if they were actually truly vegan, or if it was a lot for the camera. Cause really I can’t see how any human being would go from fully vegan for so long to being a hunter. In my 24 years or so of eating meat, I would have never ever wanted to kill an animal/ skin it/ hunt it/ you name it. And the fact that she finds all those excuses for wanting to kill animals… urgh, I can’t support them anymore either :(

I need a meditation to help give up foods I craved and loved that are not serving my healing and to gain wellness. Going from high carbs and dairy lifestyle. To a low toxic vitamin A and low copper, increase zinc and other minerals needs to let go of toxic bile acid and rebuild healthy gut and liver. Learning the rainbow eating is not your friend and bitter food are really poison and everything you thought was good for you is actual the root cause of all your diseases. Forgive myself and my body and be more in tune with my inner being and allow your emotions to be expressed in healthy ways, not destructive ways by suppressing them. Also not hurting yourself or others find that balance and be grounded and give yourself a break and be kind to yourself. Appreciate life and those around you. Allow all the universe has to give you and accept it and know your worthy and everything will work out for your highest good and at the right time. I hope these things inspires you to create guided meditations to help people struggling to embrace change for the better on a body, mind, spirit, and emotional, plus x-factors (anything that not the previous four states of being/energy).

Completely know the heating dance with kiddos! Were in a tiny house and have the tiniest wood burning stove downstairs (cubic mini) but ALL the heat rises to the loft so we CANNOT use it at night or we bake as does our toddler ... so he'd wake up constantly... and then when it dies out we all get way too cold because we had to open windows. Noone wants to wake up unnecessarily when you have kids. NO ONE. LOL. We have a split system too, solely for the nights in autumn / winter and a bit of summer AC in the evenings. It's all about getting everyone some well earned sleep!
@thelittlehomeaustralia11 ай бұрын
Also you've had an EXTENDED kiddo on the ground not walking time too (I imagine because of Max's hip displasia), probably an extra 5 or 6 months over the average, and that stage is HARD! It'll be so lifechanging for you as Max starts to be more mobile, as you're starting to notice already. Also good on you for continuing to feed on demand! His little body will be getting so much support, emotional regulation during the tough times and also immune support during the winter from this. We ended up night weaning around 14 months due to Ezzy eating plenty of food and me really wanting to sleep in longer stretches. It worked wonders

I would LOVE a guided meditation about finding empowerment in motherhood, specifically with needing to become more domesticated with raising a baby and doing more mundane and repetitive house chores that come with the territory. :)

I remember watching your video of how to shoot film when I was first getting in to film photography. I have followed you since and watching you and your family grow and fulfil your dream has truly inspired me to do my own little projects. You both bring a cozy atmosphere in to every video you make and almost pull me in to your world. Keep on trucking

IM SO EXCITED FOR THE GUIDED MEDITATIONS!!! I love listening to them to calm my mind when finals are around (coming up) or when I get overwhelmed between work and school and trying to maintain relationships. A guided meditation where I am able to take my mind away from all of that would be so great
I do appreciate ALL that you share with us each video!! Most of us who watch your videos are of the same journeys and headspace. No judgements just enjoyment and learning, where others are in their own journey is making us ALL aware of our own dreams within. Please never be worried to share your changes because it helps us ALL grow! There is no right or wrong way…You both are so amazing in your courage to do/learn so fearlessly, I love it and your family!! Keep sharing your steps on each journey no matter how small/silly/confusing/etc it may seem. For you help us ALL in this process of life and I thank you ❤️.

Dana, I have to say that your voice, tone and pace of speech are 100% spot on for your new venture ❤. I'm not a meditator, however, your subject matter is definitely timely in my life. I feel GOD has me lining up for HUGE changes because my life seems to be falling away from the orderly, financially stable way it's been for so many years. I'm closing my 18 year insurance office because California has become nearly impossible for new business writing due to them leaving state, moratoriums from 98% of companies and it hasn't paid the Bill's this entire 18 months. It's a hard time to find work regardless of what Pr. B says. 50 days late on everything, 1/4 tank of gas and nothing coming in. Woah! So yes, perfect timing❤

Change is super difficult, no doubt. My Mom, who always had such wise words for me, told me that the only thing constant in life is change.... - and it was one of the few moments that I had to respond that it didn't feel helpful to me to know that. 😮 However, that conversation was over 40 years ago, and I can say that it IS helpful to know that change really does happen all the time. And embracing gratitude for a) lessons learned and b) opportunities for something new has helped me experience Change more gracefully. It's still hard, of course. I look forward to hearing what you have to share.
