Welcome back Bailey! Don't ever be sorry for having to step away; for that in itself, was the most courageous move you made. Always take time for you, when you need to. You are amazingly talented, funny and sis, you are resilient. You got this. 💄🖤💄

It's so good to see you Bailey ! 2018 I had a massive stroke. Big changes , a lot to digest mentally. I certainly understand. I cried a lot , so scared I'd end up being a burden on my family. Time and Zoloft. Things are different but they're fine . I learned to accept the changes and live life. It's a lot but 🤷 I can walk, talk and my tiny little pea brain is fine . I think I'm doing good. Anyway... Blah. This is about you. Your life is never over. Adapting is what you need. You are a beast 💪💪💪 Love you and your kitties 😘 I talk too much 🙄

Glad you’re back! My husband and I both have MS. I didn’t know he had it when we met 12 years ago and I was diagnosed 3 years ago. This disease is wild but taking it one day at a time and listening to your body is really important, even when it is hard. I’m struggling every day with this. We also have a 14 year old daughter with medically complex and special needs, she is 100% dependent. Life can change so quickly and I just can’t find the words for that😂 I’m so glad you’re posting and sharing. Sending love and healing vibes to you ♥️♥️

I had the full head to toe left-half body numbness as well a year ago, but it thankfully only lasted a few weeks. My left leg hasn’t been the same since though, and it definitely has reduced sensation. It’s scary being diagnosed with this, even though I started suspecting it when I was in highschool. I’m sending all my love and support from the east coast 🇨🇦 ❤ it’s good to hear you have a support system in place, and I hope your dmt continues to prevent new lesions! I had quite a few of them (neurologist said it was more than he would like to see in someone just getting diagnosed) so he gave me the option of the every 6 month infusions, or the once a month self auto-injector, so I’ll be starting that one soon
@baileyvanderveen Жыл бұрын
I’m on the 6 month infusion Ocrevus. I’ve had I guess 2 full infusions now (after the first dose split) and last year it seemed to be working. We will see this year!
@ThatGirlShelbyy Жыл бұрын
@@baileyvanderveen I hope it does work for you! ☺️ I was given the choice between Ocrevus and Kesimpta, but I don’t handle IV’s/needles well, so I figure the tiny self injector would be a better fit for me even though it’s more frequent than the 6 months, but it’ll depend on which one my benefits will cover for cost 😅

So good to see you back and in a better head space. I feel you, I’ve been struggling with a disability since I was ten and my mother is 78 and she has had MS for over 30 years and she is mobile, able bodied and thriving thank God. So try and be positive and like you said it’s different for everyone. My mother is not overweight by the way… MS effects so many people and the cause is not known. It’s all just theories and quite frankly guesses. Stress is the worst thing for her and so is getting sick. 😂 yes MRI’s are annoying, I’ve learned to zone out and just take a nap. You’ll get used to them. Sending you de-stressing energy.

Welcome back to KZbin, Bailey! In December 2021 I was diagnosed with Late Stage Lyme Disease. I would never compare my journey to yours with MS, but I understand the strange journey chronic illness takes us on. I definitely agree with you about having a new lease on life and saying yes to more life experiences. I'm so glad to see you are doing well and taking things one day at a time. You've got this! 🖤

Bailey, I’m so happy you put a video on here! I’ve missed your beautiful face & spirit! You just keep doing you! Hey Bailey I'm so glad you are doing better. I'm sorry about your MS diagnosis. Yes MRI'S suck for sure. They always do my neck and brain too. I have 2 lesions on my brain and they thought I had MS but said I needed to get a spinal tap to 100% be for sure. I also have a shooting pain in my arm when I put my head down. Did you have to get a spinal tap along with the MRI? I have put it off because I'm scared.
@baileyvanderveen Жыл бұрын
Oh my gosh! So, the first year (2020) they did 2 MRI’s at different times. One on my neck and then my brain. They found 1 lesion so they diagnosed me with CIS (clinical isolation syndrome) and then the following year 2021 they did another MRI with contrast (which makes the lesions appear more) and they found 2 more. So my neurologist said the other 2 could’ve been there from the start or appeared in that last year but there’s no way to know. But since now there are multiple lesions (Sclerosis) I was classified as having RRMS. So no spinal tap yet!
