I work at a Mexican restaurant and as I was eating some salsa with my chips during my break some of it got on the inside of my 4 day old lip piercing,it was excruciating.

I've had my lip pierced for just over a week and I've had no problem what so ever. Its been the simplest and relatively carefree piercing to date. Then again ive got my tounge pierced so I was already used to the whole mothwash buz afrer you eat. so far i have my nose, tounge, lip and an aray of ear piercings totalling 12 I think. Btw that milk thing is a myth. But im vegan so I had no problem with having no milk anyways.

Oh and numbbutter, if you prefer, they will use a clear retainer as the initial jewelry and you can change it to whatever once its healed if you need to hide it right away. I have had a good deal of my piercings done with a bioplast (flexible, bio degradable plastic, it also helps reduce swelling and healing times) and I highly recommend it.

When you first pick out your lip ring at the shop, what are the choices? Because I want to get it pierced with a small diamond stud, i don't want a metal ball..

You can have milk.. spicy food is because it can irritate the open wound and dairy has bacteria but if you rinse your mouth after words its fine.. ive had multiple lip and oral piercings before. Sammy you can request a gemmed ball, pretty much a shops will have them.

when you get it can't you just put the sea salt and water on a cotton ball and hold it there so its a little easier? i think i heard that somewhere. I'm getting my lip pierced next week and I'm stoked, also it looks really good on you! oh yeah, one more question, did you get a stud when you first got it? or could you just get a ring?

all I have is regular salt is that ok or no and also I have antibacterial soap it's scented to and I have mouthwash but it's not alcohol free so does any of that matter and I mouthwash alot and clean the outside at least twice

I just got my lip pierced 4 days ago i've also caught myself playing with my piercing twice and now I have noticed a red bump inflammation under the piercing not extremely inflamed but just a little and now I'm just a little worried its infected or if it might be just the swelling from the piercing.

Ok I had my lip pierced for four wks going on 5. It's a 16 gauge n I want to change it. I have a horse shoe 14 gauge but it ddnt go through how will I get it to go through it do I have to use something else?

randomnessrocksu it depends. I have snakebites and I wear horseshoe rings in my lip and they don't touch my yeah or gums at all. Now obviously if u play with it it will even talk mess up ur teeth. I wore studs for awhile but I kept accidentally biting it so I don't wear those anymore bc I don't want it to mess up my teeth. Hope this helped

Hi :) I have spider bites and in my opinion No its not hard all it. you just slide it right through and screw on the ball just like a rod..Hope that helped :) Good luck

I have a question, in this video was that a 16g or 14g ring because I have 4 14g rings but i dont know how easily they iwll go in because I've had it pierced for three weeks not and it rarely gets crusty and its not red and i can tug on it and it feels like ive had it for months but I wanted to change it after four weeks of getting it I just want to see your opinion.

Crimson Rose for me it was very hard to eat. I started with a ring so that might be why. I pretty much couldn’t use my lips for a few weeks and had to chew on one side of my mouth. Totally worth it tho.

Exact thing happened to me, but you just keep putting the stud back on, don't take it out though, because it's a new piercing and it'll get infected.
