I really love this episode and it’s my favorite out of the entire series. Diamond Tiara’s character development is perfectly well done in the span of one episode, it incredible! Her struggle of trying to reach her family’s expectations made me really sorry for her and it finally made sense why she was such a bully to everyone. Not to mention, the Cutie Mark Crusaders handled it pretty well. They felt sorry for Diamond Tiara and then try to help her which they later succeeded and finally got their Cutie Marks! This episodes is full of emotions and cry tears of happiness, sadness, but also proud for both Diamond Tiara and the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Also, the songs slap hard.

Don’t get me wrong, but I think DT had one of the most (if not the most) forced redemption arcs ever. Like, they suddenly wanted to justify her terrible actions bu introducing her mom who was never mentioned before. It would be better if we knew way back that something is up with her parents, or if she started to redeem herself all by herself before this episode. Or even keep her irredeemable for the rest of the series, why not…

For many years on, I was struggling to smile like really, even forcing it out was tough but thanks to mlp, i feel like I'm recovering. Of course it's still hard for me but this show makes me so happy on a daily basis!

i love how mlp shows real life situations and executes them in a way kids can understand and sympathize with. diamond tiara was very obviously neglected emotionally as a child, which is a *very real thing.*
