Being someone that has phased more then 30 times in Platinum's safari zone, the moment I saw that Quagsire I knew it was gone. They have a technical 50/50 chance to be caught, however I only caught 3 of the 11 that I encountered. It took me until my 6th just to catch the first one.

I finally figured it out! You told platinum it wasnt allowed to get another one before a different cartridge and it tried to listen but eventually it got tired of waiting and thats why you finally got one

To be fair this was NOT normal. It got to a point where the higher number was mathematically luckier than finding a shiny. You’d probably be fine. (My first two safari weeks went CRAZY with the luck)
