Time for MORE POWER! Let's swap our coils over from dual 1.4's to dual 0.7 ohm voice coils! This will increase our maximum amplifier output and get us THE LOUDEST SCORE we've ever seen inside Little Blue!!! Half Ohm FTW! Awesome, congrats on the 161. About 15 years ago I struggled to do a 163 with 6500 watts, four 15W3's and Esoteric cheater amps running at 18VDC externally regulated. I was destroying my SPL car but my record was long lived.

Boy - I've sure been out of the hobby for a long time. I was amazed to hit 144dB in my 94 Sundance with 2 12" subs. I'm thinking it was around the year 2000! They were MTX Road Thunder Pro 12s being hit with a single Thunder 2300 amp. The amp is still working in my wife's car, and the subs are still pounding in my home theater!

161!! That’s insane .. sad part about dB is to go from 161 to 165 would take like sooo much more power and/or cone area to get that few dB increase . A lot of people don’t understand that .. 140-150db can be hit with relatively low power but going from 150-160 take sooo much more power .. same as going 170 and above .. congrats .. 2-18s on a 10k above 160 that’s banging 🙏🔊🔊🔊 the bass gods are pleased 😂😂

I am extremely impressed with the work you do. I am a new subscriber but I have watched your videos for a bit now and they are always entertaining/addictive and ALWAYS overall informative. I had a baddass stereo back in the day. Two Celestions 12" (FTR12-4080HDX). Magnet was 10" wide and heavy but not nearly as beefy as these new ones are. But I popped several windows and warped my trunk on my 93 Cavalier :) had a CQ-DRX901U (panasonic) back in the day pounding them. One of the sexiest decks I still have yet to see. Lastly for the Amp was an OLD Carver PMA-2100 I am stuck in a rut with personal sh*t and hope to get back to what I was one day. I use LOUD music to meditate. People never understood how I could relax in a car that others were having a hard time breathing in. I miss it. Right now I have two simple MTX in a non ported box that next weekend I am going to build a ported box and see if this will increase the bass more on these. Pushing with a 1200W Sony amp. Sorry for my story. Thought I would share as I understand and love what you do. Please keep it up. And hopefully ONE day Ill get back to enjoy my music like you do!

Loudest my old 86’ Mercury Cougar walled up with 4 old school Soundstream SPL 15s on 2 Chrome 10.0s for amps on the subs was 162 db in the floor with the meter!! That’s some serious pressure my man congratulations!

Burp. Burp is just a spl run for 3 seconds or so. Usually when you burp you are pushing the equipment passed its limits. I dont recommend it. Like some people will burp 10k watts on a 4k watt rms subwoofer

Yeah burps will turn into a fart if you do it long enough but like dude said, it's pushing immense wattage into your sub for a short period, that's what the max wattage rating on the sun is for, so if you burp a 5k sub with 5k watts it shouldn't hurt it but subs are rated differently as some older vids of exo's will show you.

That thing hits the sound track sounds great to you just validated my sound system that in my RV the system consist of a cheap blaupunkt touch screen that bluetooth to. My phone to Bose bookshelf speakers 2 super tweets Rockford fosgate 300 watt amplifier and a blue face pioneer 10in subwoofer in a ported box built into the bed sounds great I'll call that the exo experience!!! Honestly you have inspired me to start building quality boxes again..and I like my installs to be invisible looks like nothing happening until you get water eyes sitting in the car ..ya know when it has so much compression it actually changes your focus on your eyes, or makes it impossible to light a cigarette lighter near the vehicle...the ex wife knew to get her bf out my house 6 minutes ( or 5 miles) before I got home 😑
