I heard Roger Whittaker sing this for the first time at a concert in Knoxville, Tennessee circa 1980 or 81. Beautiful. It made we want to go there. What beautiful words and music. Lovely is the best word I know to describe this song.

I visited cousins in Cheticamp back in 2001. A few months before 9/11. I will always be grateful for the heartwarming adventure. Reconnecting to family was amazing. I was especially touched by all the hospitality and courtesy we encountered throughout Canada. We drove up cabot trail up to Pointe north. I intend to to go back for a much longer stay in the future. I can happily imagine living in Cheticamp where my father was raised. Thank you for the videos.

Hi subslammer2, I was wondering if you could upload the whole CD that this song was found on. I recall 'red sails in the sunset', and a number of other delightful songs are on the CD, but I simply lost the tape.

That was accidentally a troll, my city is at the tip. It's the city with the harbour that shapes Cape Breton into a heart by opening the top side up. What city is this?
