Get a bird bath. A lot of times birds will peck into fruit for the moisture. A bird bath will give them access to water. Put more than one around your garden.

If you don't mind seeds and would like more fruit reliably you could probably graft a Chocolate Asian persimmon to one of the rootstock suckers. It'll produce a small amount of male or perfect flowers. It's basically a Fuyu if it doesn't get pollinated and flesh turns brown if it does.

Thanks for sharing. I actually do have space for an American persimmon, but I need a second for pollination. Do you happen to know if Nikita's gift can act as a pollinator for the American persimmon?

Do you happen to know on what root stock the nikitas gift is crafted? The diospyros lotus creates a lot of suckering and air roots in my experience, this is the main reason i have all of my varities crafted on diospyros virginiana.

I’m new to this type of persimmon. Few years in the row the tree drops most of the fruit. Anything i should know about this problem?
