The molds are HIGH to VERY HiGH where I am (PA) and it messes with my chronic illness significantly. Worst time of the year for me. I checked the Weather Channel app for Durham but it has "No Data" for the Mold category. So, well, no help there! Maybe your lungs are also responding to the new air in that area. I hope you feel better soon! Rest well. Sleep is our friend! Prayers!

What a husband! Mary you are so blessed. I'm sure you realise that. He's a caregiver, a tech wizard, a handyman, builder, chef, minister! Is there anything he can't do? Peter you don't get enough credit on this channel for all the amazing things you do. You are very loving and giving and we are all proud of you. I think in Peter's case he really believes in the servant m.o of the bible, servant not to just his wife, but church, friends etc. You can see he's just so helpful to everyone and caring. But of course we only see one aspect of his character in a 10 minute video. No one on earth is perfect. I'm sure your fiance has good traits that Peter does not possess.

When I moved to MD I didn't take into account the way they build townhomes here and I learned my box spring wouldn't go up the two flights of stairs. Luckily I found collapsible box springs, they're easy to assemble and diss assemble and easy to maneuver; could always be an option...

This is too funny. When Peter was in the kitchen showing the lights under the cupboard, he said "Google turn off the lights." My phone lit up and a voice on my phone said, " seems your lighting is not set up yet." It scared because my phone has never talked to me before, lol. I wonder how many subscribers homes went dark when Peter said that? I didn't even know this feature was possible with my phone, I'm looking into this. Mary, I hope you feel better very soon. You have a lovely home.

As a resident of North Carolina I strongly advise not to store anything too fragile or things like candles in the attic because the summer heat will damage it. Speaking from personal experience of storing Christmas ornaments and Christmas decorations in the attic and a lot of them were ruined because of the heat.

I think they have a/c up there on the 3rd floor, they could just leave the door open. Expensive but possible.

I was not talking about their guestroom on the 3rd floor but the actual attic space. The room is insulated and air conditioned. In the extra attic space that the roof itself is not insulated and it gets extremely hot in those areas during the summer months. The temperature can rise above 120°F.

Many people when they move to NC talk about allergies they never had. Or increased allergies. October is when there is lots of pine pollen. Something to watch for.

Definitely 100%. I live in Tennessee and we have the same humid sticky weather as the Carolinas and the last two months everyone's been complaining more so about terrible pain and pressure in their sinus cavities and pounding pain around the head. I have several autoimmune diseases and the heat wave we had weeks ago literally threw my body into a severe flare up and I'm still dealing with it. Oh how I wish the weather was more clean and arid and 75 degrees with a breeze all year round!! I remember visiting San Francisco and how my migraines and joint pain improved tremendously. My father may he RIP had Rheumatoid arthritis and his doctor's always told him to move out of the south for less pain. I understand why they said that now..

Moving is very far from stress free and peaceful. It was good you had some help to unpack. I hope Mary's lungs improve soon. My dad had to dismantle break a bed base and rebuild it when I couldn't get one into a room.

Hey guys! I love your new house it's so pretty from what I see! Mary when I moved from Illinois to Arkansas the air was very different and I got headaches every single day. I got them to the point where I was in the bathtub one day and just started crying to my husband to come to the bathroom so I can talk to him and tell him just how bad my head hurt and how it just affected my everything since we had moved there! There's a lot of adjusting when you move into a new home and even more when you move into a new home in a new state! So just take a little break and let yourself feel better, and I hope these headaches are just caused by the change in the air, and you can continue taking the medication that is so greatly helped you! XOXO

we had this also!!! We bought a SPLIT QUEEN box spring and when we moved from that house we sold it!!! (it appears it is a problem for many homes!). It was also all the bedrooms were on that floor! It was INSANE! But we were shocked to find we could purchase those! But an Olympic Queen?

I sometimes go through drive through and eat in the carpark too. When I'm that tired, I just need to make getting food as easy as possible and reduce unnecessary energy consuming things like navigating crowds and dealing with sensory inputs. We do what we gotta do 😉❤️

Also something else with the headaches is allergies down here. Mine are worse here than they were back home. Just something to consider that may not pop up immediately. I've been fighting a lot of headaches the past two weeks especially. Hope you get relief soon!

You know, one thing that fascinates me when watching vlogs made by people from the US - you home-cook so rarely! I don't mean this as an insult, at all, I just see how different it is from our lifestyle (I live in central Europe). We have it exactly the opposite here - we rarely go out to have lunch, dinner or breakfast (eating breakfast in a restaurant is especially rare here). We go eat out only for special occasions, like birthdays, celebrations and such, and also for business meeting stuff. Also, glad to see you settling in your new home!

I used to be put on Z pak as soon as I developed a bad head cold. Since I've been on the medication that reduces mucus, I haven't really thought of it or had pneumonia. I don't have all the organisms in my lungs that a CF patient does though. I'm praying you feel better. God Bless. 😀👋🙏

Well it’s that time of year.....my asthma kicked in secondary lung infections, on antibiotics, steroids, mucinex...and we are in the middle of a move back home to Abilene, Tx. Ugh no time for this illness again!!

Peter, if the epoxy doesn't work, try E6000 Glue. It takes a good 12-16 hours to completely dry but once it does, you're golden! Just know that it expands as it dries, so don't over coat the pieces!

the fact that the mucus is thicker and dryer might contribute to it sticking in your sinuses and causing more headaches? I know mine does that like when I eat dairy or if the heater runs at night, whereas when it is more and wetter it is able to move through and not cause as much pressure sometimes. ...maybe, maybe not. Just a thought.

To track my migraines, I use the app Migraine Buddy. It is very convenient for me just print out my input of meds and pain scale to give to my doctor. Maybe you can do something like that for your headaches. Good luck & congrats on everything!!

If trying to fix the microwave doesn't work, it should be covered under whoever did your inspection. We had a ton of little things pop up after we bought or home and they were fixed by the inspection company free of charge. Just FYI. :)
