My mother, who passed away last year at 97, used to make this. She called it, English Style, macaroni and cheese. She added some Worcestershire sauce and mustard to the egg mixture to give it a little zing. She also loved it cold and sliced in a toasted sandwich or sliced on a salad plate with cold cuts and sweet pickles. Thanks for bringing back a sweet memory. I’m going to make some for sure.❤️

This is how my mama made her Mac and cheese , now it’s how I make mine. I passed it along to my daughter, now she makes hers like this. It’s the best Mac and cheese ever! Now I’m in the mood for a big pan of it. You are always so good to each. God bless always.

That's how my grandmother used to make mac and cheese. She would use evaporated milk instead of regular milk. So rich and delicious!

If I knew what was in it I could make my own. I'll look online. I'm like you. I use what I have on hand and rarely use recipes except for breads and some desserts. Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

Before I add my second layer of macaroni, I add a layer of tomato slices. And instead of breadcrumbs, I put garlic croutons on top. It is delicious.

Wow! Looks so savory and delish! So much cheese! My brother and cousin (separately) were hospitalized from Aldi’s here in Florida! They got sick from the chicken and yogurt! I love your recipe. My mom wouldn't make macaroni and cheese. I certainly have thoughts on how to tweak this for my family. I never measure, I eyeball it. I do that with alterations on clothes and make very few mistakes but it is just like you said we learn from our mistakes
