I love your story about the nurse. It’s nice to know that the male nurse made an effort to speak to you in an way that if you were a young girl. It helps to have nurses speak to you with care. He wanted you to be comfortable. :)

Either way, it doesn’t really make sense because when the nurses switch shifts, they give report to the incoming nurse with all the info on that patient. Name, AGE, complications, etc 😅😅😅 plus it’s always on the chart

I’m so sorry to hear about that second nurse who basically abandoned you and then ignored you. That breaks my heart. I’m about to graduate from nursing school and that is absolutely unacceptable. There is no reason for you to have gone 4-5 hours past your pain meds being due, and NO reason to ever of ignore a patient. No matter how busy you are. Huge no no. I would definitely try to figure out who the supervisor is for that floor/area of the hospital and tell them your concerns. In my opinion, that person has no business being in direct patient care.

I can’t wait until you get your hair cut! It’s always fun to have length taken off. It’s fresh and healthy. I don’t get my hair cut often. Usually a year goes by. Sometimes a year and a half. Then I cut off four to six inches. Now my hair is at my chin. I took six inches off. It feels so healthy❤️

Ugh!! My best friend is recovering from Leukemia and had to go into Cedars Sinai due to some complications following treatment and had such similar stories to your second story -- hours gone by without care (even when she was calling), rude/passive nurses and doctors...She's a vegan and not only did they bring her a meal with meat in it, when she corrected them on her dietary restrictions, they brought her a plain eggo waffle with one sprig of parsley on it!! So ridiculous - I'm glad you're out of there :)
