This is not just Kathleen, a lot of youtubers do this but I hate when they say they don't like using expensive products on camera or they feel bad...like, we are not all poor lol. A lot of us CAN afford expensive products or maybe like to spend the money every once in a while so it's okay to show us those products or use those products. I love Kathleen and like I said, it's not just her...they all do it. I just think it makes me feel like they are saying "you can't afford these expensive products like we can"...idk, maybe it's just me...

I agree that a lot of us can afford them or like to splurge every once in awhile. I love seeing the high end stuff! But, I think it comes down to a lot of beauty gurus on KZbin get a bunch of hate if they use too many high end products and not enough drug store products. It's a fine line to balance and I don't envy them trying to balance high end with drug store to please everyone.

I totally agree, I've noticed a ton of youtubers saying that. I think she gets a lot of hate when she talks mostly about high end products, stuff like "you've changed!" and "you used to love drugstore stuff, what happened??" So she's choosy about what she uses on camera in tutorials and get ready's.

I think part of it for some of them is they get a lot of them for free so it can make them feel bad to recommend something pricey they didn't even pay for. also, you have to remember most people watching these vids are kids without a lot of disposable income lol. they feel bad recommending something that may be hard for most of their viewer base to obtain

I'm so glad that you released this video because I'm super dry - as in lizard, desert, bone, paper dry! I've never found a primer that was moisturising enough for me, and I don't wear foundation during the day because of it (dry patches around the mouth, etc). I'm going to try the Too Faced primer!

The Hour Glass veil primer is my holy grail! If I could only buy one product from Sephora ever again it would be that! I recommend it to my friends all the time, the travel size is $18 and lasts me a long time, they say you will use it in like three months but a little goes a long way and I can make mine last closer to 4-4 1/2 months(:

KrislonR​ :( i found out I was allergic to bismuth when i tried bare minerals foundation. I really liked how it initially made my face look, but then my face started having this huge red rash all over. My husband look at the ingredients and notice they have the same active ingredient as pepto-bismol. Lol weird ham

I don't know how much longer it keeps my makeup at bay but it looks soo good on the skin. I use the NYX setting spray to lock in my makeup so it doesn't budge. It's a miracle worker!

I absolutely love the Dr. Brandt Pores No More primer. I have extremely sensitive, oily skin and tried dozens of primers before discovering this holy grail item. I work long 12 hour shifts, and my makeup doesn't budge when I use this product. It doesn't feel oily, it makes my makeup last all day, and best of all, it doesn't break me out. Normally I'm pretty thrifty with makeup buys and try to budget my high-end spending, but this primer is totally worth the cost! I'm not sure how well it works for other skin types, but if you're feeling adventurous, its worth a try!

When you talk about wear time could you start telling us in hours? Like I'm wondering how long your makeup lasts without primer or setting spray. And then for example since you said nyx was good but hourglass was better for that how many hours the nyx one makes it last, the hourglass, etc

elf poreless face primer. they sell it at cvs and target. I have oily and acne prone skin as well. in addition to using the primer I use the urban decay deslick makeup setting spray after applying my makeup and it stays for a long time.

+Sophia Dezerga I have SUPER oily skin and I really like using the baby skin pore eraser from Maybelline with my Estee Lauder Double Wear or Revlon Colorstay. Porefessional is good for higher end stuff, otherwise smashbox and MUFE have a few different good ones :)

Don't use it everyday. It fucks up your skin's ph because it's so alkaline, which will dry you out and disturb the skin's protective layer.
