We used to call it commodities well I still call it commodities and I’ve got a couple of boxes of that cheese in my fridge right now and I’m glad to have it too . IN Texas we make rotel dip with can of rotel tomatoes, large velvetta cheese.. you can dice jalapenos or add hamburger meat and taco seasoning.. it's also really good!!

Ms Margaret you can add a jar of mild salsa instead of the can of Rotel. Add a pound of scrambled ground beef or sausage is good in it also. Corey the white cheese from Mexican restaurant’s cheese dip is white American. Y’all used American cheese in this recipe. I bet it was good. Just orange.

I use the hot picante when I don't have Rotel. I think I like it better with the picante...we pour this over our nachos and when we grill hamburgers, we put on them as well...I use white velveeta

Yeah, we used to call that commodities. And I love those cheese in the fruit in my Grandma. This is used as Cayenne, chicken and canned beef for a great vegan chicken and gravy and beef over Rice.

Mawmaw get some large carrots ( beta carotene) add fresh cloves of garlic (natural antiseptic) and a few slices of fresh peeled ginger. Make a soup. It will boost your immune system. Stay away from sweets and white bread products for a while. You'll feel better. I also make a large baked potato with olive oil instead of butter and a green salad with olive oil and vinegar dressing to feel better. Have broiled meat for your protein. Do that for just one night. It works like a charm!

They get them published at those places that churches get their cook books published at. Anyone can get a book published. These are not big publishing companies that print books that are put in stores. You have to sell them on your own. A lot of churches do this. Also Hospice does this. They ask the patients or their family to give them a family recipe and they put in the books in memory of the patients. They sell alot to the families. It's usually done as a fundraiser or charity group.

I love this dip. I've been making it for years with Velveeta and Rotel (same thing you used just the name brand. I can't get around well so I'm not able to shop at Aldi anymore 😢). It's even better if you brown up a pound of ground beef seasoned with taco seasoning/or as we usually just call it hamburger meat here in western PA like yinz do in WV, we're only about 25 minutes or so from the WV ❤ I'll sometimes switch out the Rotel and make it with the taco meat, Velveeta, and medium Pace Picante sauce. Mawmaw would probably want to use the mild though as the medium is on the spicier side. If she uses Rotel they do have mild Rotel (I'm not sure if the Aldi Casa Mamita brand has it in mild) that you can get that is just the tiniest bit of spice. I like the original but if I'm making a pot of chili I use the hot. It has habanero peppers with the chilis and tomatoes in it. we use to get them block cheeses, but it was made by the federal government, my dad Herbert L use to work hickam driving those big rig trucks to deliver military bulks to the big air force C130 Big planes , (i miss my dad), i was proud of him, & he use to bring home them block government cheese, this was in the later 60s and 70s,...and I loved it dearly, Now i dont know where to get my bulk cheese, but those chemical kraft cheeses from safeway.

Queso , pronounced KAY-SO, is spanish and means cheese. No matter the color of the cheese. Cheese with chili's in it,,,is called Chili con queso, white cheese is blanco queso. So your white cheese dip would be called blanco queso,,not just queso.
