If you never tried it you can do a great casserole with pork chops and apples with stove top. You can used canned pie apples but I make my own and thicken with corn starch sugar butter and cinnamon. Add apples on bottom of caserole pan. Season and brown pork chops layer on apples and then top with your prepared stuffing. I add some dots of butter all over top so top gets little browned. Bake at 350. So simple but good and easy also. Definitely going to make this one. I have also done this with cranberries and apples.

Grandma, I bet your chickens are delicious! My great grandmother and grandfather raised their own chickens and when we came to visit she processed one to fry. They also raised their own beef and pork. The difference in fresh raised meat is incredible. They also had two large gardens. Sometimes you should let Corie do the taste test! I bet he would like that! This casserole looks delicious! I’m going to make it bc I’ve never had stove top stuffing. I bought the ingredients today. Thanks for the recipe grandma. God bless

The blessings keep coming today. We didn't have store meat much either, we lived off a garden and hunting. Being in the inner city we had to hunt and fish. I LOVE fish, and we continue to eat it fresh a few times a week.Catfish is my favorite. We never did have chicken, but we had a lot of pheasant, geese, duck, turkey, rabbit, squirrel, and deer! Today is casserole day!! Breakfast and dinner casseroles and they both looked easy and delicious. I'd probably buy a rotisserie chicken and pull it apart and that way the cooking is already done and no pots or dishes to clean! I'm one of 10 kids, 7 girls and 3 boys. Our dining table sat 4 on each side on a bench and 2 at each end in chairs. At holiday meals, those of us in MI make sure to make enough food for leftovers! And we bring our own storage containers. 😂

If frozen, rinse it first under warm/hot water & drain, then add to pan & it should be done after baking. I saw this tip recently on a cooking video.
