Hey Matt. I was at this match and you played excellent. Good touches and made the right decision on passing and positioning. Don’t worry the crowds will get larger and louder once the weather picks up.

I'm so happy to see your growth, your earlier matches used to be like "I sensed the pressure and player back to my CB or goalie " You have come a long way from, playing without confidence to now taking risks, taking players 1on1 , driving ahead in space That gives me alot of hope

20:55 Can't believe he didn't play you in. Always the worst when as a back you make that run and the winger decides he's going to try and dribble past the whole opposition instead haha

Hey man could you make a video, on why you don't try to go and play in countries like Scotland? I remember you made a video with William Akio who payed in the Canadian premier league and went on to play for Ross County, so why don't you try to do the same?

Great seeing in the Green and Blue Matt. I've been following you for a number of years and I remember back a few years ago saying that you should come play for us. You gotten better tactically and technically every year since I've been following you on here. I'm proud to have you on our team and reppin' Hartford and Connecticut. The new kits look great. Looking forward to coming down from Massachusetts and seeing some matches this season and hopefully some wins!

At 3:11, you should give a through ball to your #10 or your left winger #29. The back pass is a little safer, but the pass to #10 is a more positive and threatening play. The wing pass really gives you guys momentum and the left full back can then overlap even though the pass is a little riskier. At 6:35, I disagree with your assessment. Passing to the winger immediately is a bigger threat. He then has the option to take on the defender or pass back to you as a safety net or for you to cross. The really aggressive play would be for you to pass right away and overlap with him to mess up the opposing defense so they aren't as well set. At 9:19, it is safer to immediately switch it to #5. If your mid loses the ball from the press there, the other team gets a counter attack.

16:22 I would have done the one-two to your teammate since he is already running and there is space and the covering defender is standing which makes it difficult for him to catch up with him when your teammate eventually gets the ball.

I think you can become a professional footballer at that age with talent but you'll need a lot of luck for that..... you have to give trials then you need to be consistent.... but at 28 years of age it's better to do a full time job instead of playing pro football because yiu have to think about your future as well(if you find any grammatical mistakes then I'm sorry cause english is not my first language)

I admit that it is actually harder to tell in this analysis video, but when I watched the game, I thought it was Matt’s best game in a long time. I thought that OC was trying to attack down their Left and Matt made it difficult. At the same time, he was involved in a lot of the Hartford attacks even if they did not lead to goals. Open to interpretation, for sure.

In his first game the announcers ripped him a new one. I didn’t think it was that bad of a game. Matt was benched in the second game. In the third every bad pass or bad foul the broadcast team blamed Matt even if he was no where near the play. A shaky moment or two, but he was fine. And I get it, he is new to the team, but he was the same number for the other games he played. Not sure why they kept id’ing him wrong. This, the fourth game, was his best game and the broadcast team probably wanted to make up for all missed calls in the prior game. No one else stood out, so they gave it to him.
