Dear Jörg! Another outstanding video, I have been on a binge-watch marathon of your videos today. I have question to you about entering MBB (DACH) out of the Masters. According to you, is it better to apply for an internship (conducted after MSc) and try to convert it to a FT offer or directly apply for the FT position? I am pursuing a STEM subject and have prior consulting internship experience in two T2 (e.g. Roland Berger) and one T3 (e.g. Accenture Strategy) firm. I would be grateful for your advice! Best wishes :) P.S.: A video about importance and relevance of different internships for MBB applications would be very valuable!

Hi Björn Thanks for sharing more about your background as well as your question. Indeed, there is a very high share of MBB applicants who have made it into MBB through an internship, followed by a job offer. I am afraid I do not have an exact number, but my guess-timate is that one third of my McKinsey colleagues got in through an internship (I had applied for a full-time position). In your situation, with two solid tier-2 internships under your belt, I would recommend you to indeed apply for tier 1 internships now to then snatch an offer for a full-time position. If you apply for a full-time position directly, you do have the slight disadvantage that you have not yet interned with a tier 1 consulting firm (though of course, you can nevertheless make it this way, too). And if you like my videos find them useful (cool!), I definitely encourage you to check out my 2nd online course: youinconsulting.teachable.com/p/module-1b-plan-out-your-perfect-cv There I also address your PS video idea at great detail (which internships to target when preparing for a consulting career)
