I found the Kimono Mom channel a few years back just after I lost a beloved family member. During that period of my grieving, Kimono Mom became my weekly, sometimes daily, dose of sunshine. So for me, this channel has always been about love of family and friends, kindness and laughter first, and food as a by product of those things. So yesterday, even though Umami sauce wasn't in stock yet, I was proud and happy to share the Kimono Mom journey and Umami sauce with a few of the store management people- they were genuinely touched and asked a lot of questions about the channel and the sauce- it was such a nice exchange and after hearing the story they went out of their way to find out the status of the the sauce's arrival- the world needs more of the good Kimono Mom energy. Btw, store management informed me that it will be on the shelves at Whole Foods in Honolulu within the next couple of weeks. Thank you Sutan, Moe, and Moto. 🙏🏽❤

Seeing your videos during my darkest times in my career in 2021 and now you're flourishing with your UMAMI Sauce with your family got me super emotional. When I saw Sutan eagerly wanting to be present to crack the eggs or barely stirring quickly enough when she was about 2 years old to now a grown girl who can do both those things with ease. When I moved into my own place I realized I could experiment with cooking more since I was only cooking for me - but a lot of cooking channels get very fancy and complicated.
