Thanks for your very kind feedback Te Aroha, I’m so pleased you enjoyed my video. True, that is a lot of gear, I’ve been camping since I was a child so plenty of time to collect it. Plus for winter camping, there’s no way I’m going to be cold, I’m too soft for that and even took the hottie just in case 😁

with your common sense, excellent taste in equipment, and skills at making things comfortable as possible, I can imagine your doing inclement weather camping for an extended stay. The china tea cup was a typical KIWI class act! I've only seen one other "down under" winter vid; do you get much snow? The other vid, the man made a shelter with one wall made of snow blocks...think he was an Aussie.

Hi Jim, thanks for your kind words and for watching my video. If I’m able to drive to the destination, then I will make it as comfortable and warm as possible. I even took a hot water bottle on this trip but didn’t need it. If I’m back packing or bike packing, it tends to be slim pickings for comfort and the china stays behind. It snows about two hours south of where I live and I’m keen to give that a go though I don’t know about the snow blocks. Which country are you watching from?
