Some poverty is not material things. It is basic needs like food and healthcare. I know someone who lost a child because of 1500 naira malaria medicine. That is not material things. Then depression sets in to lose a child for that money. Hospitals in Nigeria can also be inhumane. No card fee, no admission or examination. I went to a covid ward in Nigeria, complete shambles. No batteries for thermometer. Where do we start from. It's not easy to be poor in Nigeria. We just have to be grateful if we have good health, food and a roof.
