4:35 I experience Exploding Head Syndrome. Either when im falling asleep or about to wake up, I hear a loud bang. A few nights ago was the worst where it was the loudest pop, like a gun shot. I shot up thinking my space heater next to me exploded, but my wife and 2 dogs were still sound asleep. I also experience hearing voices like this when trying to fall asleep, though its not startling at all. When helldivers first came out I played for hours, that night I had like 1000 years of lucid dreaming me as the doom slayer fighting demons and bugs like a vr game you can feel. Does anyone else have dreams so lucid you forget who you are and just go into a movie with a clear narrative and story maybe even multiple before you wake up remembering snippets. I remember one time I dreamed of the earth in the future and walked around basically a dystopian Smokey Coruscant, got on a rocket and felt the G force going into orbit, felt my amazement staring at the open universe in space, for weeks on end looking at new nebulas and planets as we passed even taking account for our food supply and the time to objective, Landed on the planet finding plant life and dinosaurs, and then a Trex ate me and I jumped up. Honestly given the time distortion in dream states we may live longer lives than we think most of that time being in our own pocket dimensions where we simulate new realities as we desire. We may forget most of it but some if not all of it may impact our lives by teaching us and allowing us to still experience and grow while we rest. If anything I consider it the greatest technology in existence, the human minds ability to fool itself with hyper realistic simulations as real as reality itself. Its like being god in your sleep for half your life, and that's what I think death may be just endless dreaming and maybe life itself is gods dream and we are just a part of its mind. Sometimes I talk to the people in dreams, but who is answering?

I used to have incredibly lucid dreams as a kid. I remember I would almost always be aware that a dream was going on and could blink really hard to wake myself up in the dream. Although that stopped when in a nightmare I was being chased by a bunny with a trowel and I knew it was a dream so over and over I blinked, harder and harder each time yet unable to wake up. I could hear the bunny laugh in the distance and say "there is no escape" like mf dagoth ur. Same shit happened in another nightmare as a kid where I was in a water color world trapped in a small brick room lit by a single torch on the wall. A polka dot water color monster floated into the room and looked at me. It didn't really look at me since no part of it ever actually moved but I could feel it's eyes on me and it pinned me to the back wall with an invisible force and started saying every real bad thing i've ever done in my life up until that point and explained why it was bad. I couldn't escape but I somehow managed to loosen my hands to cover my eyes from the monster but as soon as my hands cover my eyes they became see through and the monster said "you need to use your real hands in order to do that" and of course I freaked the fuck out because it had never crossed my mind until that point that the dream could know it's a dream and act accordingly. There was another one I had where it was the falling dream except I actually hit the pavement and splattered. I was still a kid so it was like a real looney toons esque splatter but I could feel myself all through it. I could feel my blood all the one the cars and bricks around me and the pain in each droplet. A numb feeling in my limbs as I tried to move but couldn't because I was just paste. I had so many nightmares as a kid.
