I had a D&C yesterday, after finding out at my 16 week appointment that my baby died 2 1/2 weeks earlier, I had no idea , I watched this video the day before my D&C and again today. You don't know how much your outlook has helped my heart. I also refuse to live with guilt, and blaming myself , I will not drag , or let myself sink in to depression. I will accept what happened ,it is part of my story. I did the best I could do, I don't have control over what happened, I will give myself the opportunity to heal. Thank you , thank so much . ❤️

Today was my first sonogram, and there was no heartbeat. I'm 10 weeks pregnant and devastated. But watching your video, I feel a little better. I'm so. Hurt, been crying all day. Same happened to my wife, the fetus was late, we went back 3 weeks to a month later and the fetus is now there but no heartbeat 😭😭 couldn't burst out crying then... Today was the day i was finally going to see my 9 week old baby. I have been so worried, but was beginning too feel so safe. After all there had been no bleeding, and missed abortion happens in only 3% of all miscarriages. After the ultrasound, we were going to pick up a "Big sister"-shirt for our daughter, so we could suprise the grandparents. On the ultrasound we did not even see the fetus. Thank you so much for sharing your story. The way you have described how to take this made me realize and understand so much. Just this past Wednesday I found out that my little one didn't make it. No heartbeat! I walked in with all the hopes to hear it and finally be able to tell my family. Little did I know the news that was coming my way. It was so heartbreaking and I'm learning how to dwell on my own. This is my second miscarriage with a 5-6 year gap. I wish things could have gone differently but if it's meant for me it will be on its own time. All I can do now is grieve at my own pace and get back up without feeling like my entire world has ended. We all have a purpose in this life and if mine is not to have children of my own I will accept that. Most of us know the meaning of miscarriage but we have so little knowledge of the many different types there is. We should all learn to speak of our experiences as we never know how much we can help others. Again, thank you for sharing your story.

Rhoda Moramba I was 9 weeks and 5 days too when I found out 😔 This was on Wednesday. Fetus measured only 5 wks 6 days. It felt so surreal. My pregnancy symptoms were so intense. Did you have any spotting beforehand? I had some spotting start at about 9 weeks that got progressively heavier but I was told in the first few days it was normal until I knew something wasn’t right and begged for an ultrasound. This is the video I need in this hard time of mine. Have been trying to conceive and when I did, upon my first trip to the hospital for confirmation was told my baby has no heartbeat, and am 8weeks and 5days pregnant but the fetus has no heartbeat. I also didn't have any symptoms of miscarriage, and am still in shock as this is the first time hearing such news. Am scheduled to see my doctor tomorrow for the next step. Yesterday at my 10 week scan I found out I had a twin pregnancy and that both heartbeats had stopped: one at 6 weeks, the other at 9 weeks. This video has helped me process the science behind it. I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my first baby at 15 weeks this past March after two healthy heartbeats. I had a very similar experience where I went in for my 15 week appointment and there was no heartbeat. So we did an ultrasound and the baby had stopped growing. Let me just say, I was not as calm as you! I had to deliver him, but I was so thankful for the opportunity to hold him and be with him to say goodbye. I am 11 weeks pregnant and my baby died at 8 weeks. This helps me so much. I feel so lost and scared. This is my first pregnancy and I’ve been so depressed. Im just waiting for my body to do its job, and if it doesnt happen in 3-4 weeks then i will do the pill ): the fact im just sitting here and waiting just hurts that much more. i was just given the news yesterday that i miscarried my first child at 9 weeks...it does bring me hope & a little peace in knowing that just like you said “my body was able to know that something was wrong”...granted it does hurt but, i want to thank you for sharing your story...and giving me a new perspective on this. i’ll be able to have another baby when the time is right...and although it may hurt now....i find comfort in knowing that my baby will be watching over me, that my body was able to detect something & that i am not alone in this. thank you for sharing your story 💗

It is so true that our bodies are wise beyond our emotions. Most pregnancies end due to chromosomal abnormalities. Doesn't hurt any less, but it's the only rational way to look at it.

I had my 8 week ultrasound today and had bad news the baby measured 6 weeks and no heartbeat or blood flow. Very devastating as this will be my second miscarriage but doctor did say there could be hope because i am also over weight so BMI is higher than normal so doc is sending me to a different location that specializes in sequent ultrasound and will know more in a few days.
