wait STOP IT. i’ve chronically been so difficult to fit because i have super contradictory feet, but i happened to make a fitting appt with grace like two weeks ago. i kid you not within less than 5 mins of looking at my feet and hearing my explanation, she fit me in probably the best fit shoes i’ve worn thus far. she was amazing 😭

Grace is a legend here in San Diego. We all have the choice to go to the cheap retailer where you are being fitted by some very young and inexperienced people. And as an adult non professional I got looked at as an amateur who has no business picking up pointe shoes. But then there is Dancer's Choice, where all dancers are welcome without judgement. And we are so glad you have stayed. During the worst of the lock down times, your store was the one place we still went, because ballet carried our girls through it all. Thank you for your dedication and innovation and never giving up on all dancers.

They both know so much! I've been fitted by both of them and found my great shoes for the rest of my past dancing days. It was very much a pleasure. Grace stayed open late to help me with my shoes cause I have having so many issues and I really appreciate both of them.

I grew up in Southern California (714 in the house!) and this really touches me in a huge way. The one thing a lot of people don't realize is how big the Asian community is, but how many of us own our own businesses that became staples of our communities. It is wonderful to see two generations of strong women continuing this legacy. I loved ballet as a kid, and still love it today. I enjoy your channel because it takes me back to those days, and gives me a glimpse of home even though I'm very far away now.

So lovely. And a wonderful tribute to your mom, the personal element and investment in time and people really shines through. I never danced. Not my cup of tea but, my middle sister was a dancer and did work, dance and teach with a few dance companies in the USA and Canada. She was one of the founding members of the Southern Ballet Theatre in Florida. Many, many years ago. I love to watch ballet and respect all the hours and years of very hard work to hopefully make it. I have seen the injuries, the pain and disappointment. And it simply breaks your heart. It is harder to be a successful principal dancer than it is to make it to the NFL.
