As a foundation phase teacher (gr R-3) I've been told gruesome dreams, concerning parenting and outlandish ideas but THANKFULLY no generational slang (likely not old enough). Hearing those little voices saying new gen slang would torment me.

0:33 not sure about elementary kids, but as a secondary teacher I can tell you that each teacher has a conference period. It's when they meet with thier team to discuss lesson plans and if needed call/meet with parents, or have other special meetings

As a teacher who worked with teens and taught a subject where conversation was a must (English as a foreign language), oh boy did I hear a lot of memes. I was the cool teacher for some students simply because I knew some of them. But oh boy, you hear and see the wildest shit sometimes and knowing how to react not to get flustered is absolutely necessary sometimes 😅 I quit that job a while ago, but knowing some memes and popular things earned me some respect from students and colleagues alike - I basically explained some memes to them. I remember a colleague from a different department asking me what "crush" and "cringe" meant since they are also very popular terms in our language now 😅 And yeah, if you're a teacher, you sometimes have to be 1) a twitch streamer 2) an actor 3) a stand-up comedian 4) a therapist 5) an expert in any field or 6) admitting you're not an expert in a field 7) an artist 8) a singer 😅 I could continue the list of jobs but I feel like this is enough 😂

The "gasp! Malcriados!" Killed me! That's such a Hispanic thing. Me encanta cuando las señoras dicen cosas así de esa manera. Once in a while, I do this as well on purpose for goofs and gaffs, and unintentionally as well. It makes me laugh everytime. Fills me with joy

I was at a convention earlier this year and this group of guys that were streaming from their phone came up to me and asked me English or Spanish. I started talking in Spanish to mess with them, saying I know a bit of both, because I knew the trend. But they changed it up on me, saying, if you move first, you marry me, if I move first, you don’t have to. So of course I’m as still as a rock, and we’re just staring at each other while his friend is streaming this whole interaction, and then he moved first. Even after hearing the explanation and Googling it for further clarification, I feel like I still don't get the joke. Am I just too old for this kind of humor!? Like, the whole "If you move, you're gay" joke is already stupid enough being something you'd say in grade school, but "English or Spanish" just doesn't make any sense! It just sounds like someone DESPERATE to make a joke work and only got it to work because it was targeted at young kids!
