Narcissist often pick a golden child and a scapegoat...she might be one it might be worth it to read about them especially daughters of narcissistic mothers. Also favoring boys is an old fashion concept that's still hanging on. I had both parents treating me bad and favoring my brother and also my mom's parents. It's crazy.
@biancagrottolo2 жыл бұрын
That is true indeed, and I've been researching child psychology since high school so I can understand philosophy. The mother can always be picky. The child is wonderful. I have the second one they think is messed up, but in this world, the mess up can be a wonderful surprise. Take me and my sister for example. My sister was able to go to college, but my mom and dad never let me go to college since I was autistic. But you know, I proved to them that I can do things. Going on, researching, read and everything, studying And all the studies is helping me improve my knowledge day by day. Right now I like to make dolls and join to charity and try as much as I can. To improve my work. So I know how it feels when you get discriminated. My mom didn't mean to do that with me and Alexis, but, well, she just wanted Alexis to go to college. They were worried I wouldn't be listening well to adults, but maybe if they'd given me a chance, I would have loved to go to college. Because honestly, these were things I really wanted to do back then. For starters, I really wanted to go to music class study and music. Or art or history or science. Sadly, my mom never let me get that chance. These days I do write little stories for my boyfriend and poetry. I love poetry.

I think her mother see her daughter as a disappointment of her younger self never going to college and having a job of her own some parents see their children's as themselves taking out of their anger from the kids not letting their feelings heard out her mother not just pushing her daughter for no reason she's also published herself and that not healthy for a mother and a daughter relationship.
@terrulls124 жыл бұрын
I thought the same. Also a mother who has a daughter expects her to endure more because the mother had it even harder but she would be more considerate with a son. Same happens between fathers and sons. A father would be less considerate towards a son because he's a men and should be strong but he would be more considerate towards a daughter.

@TARDIgirl213 жыл бұрын
Actually, the grandmother was calling out bad behavior. The mother was the one being mean by basically calling her daughter ugly. Just because the mother is the grandmother's daughter doesn't mean she has to be okay with such behavior. My mother always calls me out when I do wrong to let me know what I did so I won't repeat it. Hailey's mother is a grown woman who should know better. In conclusion, the grandmother did nothing wrong.

It's just like the relationship I had growing up with my mother and brother. My mom kept me from studying medicine because my brother failed the first semester and she thought if he couldn't do it I couldn't either. Whe we were older after coming home from school I would have to warm my meal and she would tell me to serve dinner to my brother. Because I always refused saying we were both out, we're both tired, he.can serve his own food! She would say I was lazy and a bad daughter for not listening. Finally both of my parents paid the entire weddings for my 2 brothers, their house and house furniture. Meanwhile they didn't give me or my sisters any help when we got married. To this day they don't understand how that's wrong.

I’m the oldest, and my parents can full on forget about me when my younger brother throws a tantrum. They can run into me and pretend i don’t even exist. It’s kind of sad, because my mom would say “Oh of course I love you!”, then a few hours later “I hate you. I wish you were never born.”
