my friend can't even do everything beforehand since her mom will find things to do in the moment. Like "make me coffee" but as soon as she's done and sits down her mom will yell from the other room for her to come over and give her something else. We once wanted to watch a show where one episode would take 45 minutes and it took us 1 hour and 15 minutes instead because of commerical breaks that would pop up inbetween (usually 10-12 seconds) and her mom interrupting us all the time. At some point I just got up from the couch and helped her so we could sit down quicker. (We've known each other for over 10 years now so thankfully her parents won't scold her if I help)

my mom would sometimes frame me for stuff I 100% could not have done so at some point I stopped entering rooms that I didn't need to live (ironically the living room for example x'D) So when she'd come and yell at me for taking something from the living room I'd say "that's literally impossible because I don't even so much as enter that room anymore." One time she'd keep yelling and say it MUST have been me because her and I are the only ones living here so if she knows it wasn't her,then it has to be me and that I shouldn't lie. Later it turned out that she had actually misplaced the important letter she was talking about and that it was lying under a mountain of her own papers. (she actually apologized that one time though and felt bad because the proof was infront of her)

@@rainbowpuppet77 it's true, it IS abuse. my mom used to hit us and even throw ceramic plates at us, threaten to burn us with cigarettes, always gaslights the shit and guilt trip her children, etc but she'll never admit it (probably erased it in her mind, that's why she never remembers) :/ she can be very kind too and im grateful for her and i love her but it's really hard sometimes. sorry for randomly pouring my heart out 😂
@rainbowpuppet772 жыл бұрын
@@peachbooks3199 im honestly from the bottom of my heart sorry you had to go through that like that is so utterly disgusting it makes my stomach hurt I'm so surprised you managed to somehow hold love in your heart for her whilst I don't know how healthy that is but also who am I to judge I do know it's VERY strong because when I was abused by my father (mentally, emotionally and verbally only) I decided not only did I hate him but he wasn't my father anymore and I could care less if he died and even like 2-3 years after I left and cut most contact with him I still think the exact same (I also make jokes about it a lot) so from my standpoint, its a bit bizarre but at the same time we all handle abuse differently and some can handle more than others so you're probably very resistant and strong because of what you had to go through! i truly hope you're okay and I wish the best for you!
@jos-josradvanji62032 жыл бұрын
@@peachbooks3199 that is 100% accurate. by now I know that my mom did it because she had so much stress that even tiny things would cause her to burst but it's still a terrible thing to do because you mentally scar your kid if you continuously do it. I always felt that I could never be or do something good enough. And at some point I thought she just hated me and that it was her own way of torture. (basically because it was tame enough that no one would notice and do something about it) I try to see the one good thing in that though..... I won't ever be like that because I know what it's like to be on the receiving end.
