Paola has been through a lot at such a young age. Internal suffering, for some, has a way of bringing wisdom through a forced change in perspective on life. She is an old soul on the inside, manifested outwardly through a childlike innocence and purity. This is why she is a real life angel and a gift to us all.

Hi Paola, I was getting a tickle in the back of my throat like I had a cold coming on too this morning. I designed a machine for making colloidal silver and electro-medicine. Treated the area with my colloidal silver, and within an hour all symptoms had abated. I love that you're making your own tinctures, and nothing is wasted. You're tapping in to your inner alchemist or mad scientist. This week, I made cheese for the first time, and it turned out really well. Seeing you and others being creative inspires all of us to do the same. Much Love to you

I had raisins for dinner because that was all that was in my cabinet. I don’t know what’s going to happen in an hour, in a month, in a year but I’m safe. Thank you for getting me through tonight.

Hello. I do have a kind of a wild-grown garden. But you, Cottage Fairy, inspired me to plant flowers in the balcony where there have never been any plants or flowers before. Now I also look forward to helping them grow and pamper them. I have now two baskets with colorful flower plants in pots, and plan to have two more baskets. They are blooming and my mother really enjoys the plants. Butterflies, birds, bees, and frogs might decide to come to be around them too. I now look forward to watching them in the morning and sending them some sweet and kind thought to them. I am kindly enjoying my flower plants as they thrive and bloom in the small balcony. Thank you and God bless you. ❤

@@Dana-mb1hd thank you ❤️ I never feel that I have advice to share about life as I am still learning lol. I guess, reflecting back, I would say, take care of each other, always have each other's backs especially if inlaws or family start to criticize. Apologize and forgive, learn to communicate during arguments, give each other lots of space to be their own person. Oh and lastly, you do not have to sleep in the same bed to have a good relationship. My husband is a terrible snorer, goes to bed much later than I do, and we are both easily awaken by the other, so we've slept in separate beds for many years and get much better sleep because of it. I love this. I grew up poor and it taught me many valuable lessons about how to live frugally. How to pay attention to my emotions because retail therapy was simply not an option. I am deeply connected to nature and never lost that connection. I feel grateful that a materialistic life never took hold. It got harder as I grew up into my own person and started making way more than I had as a child. I went through a couple years of overspending but realized that it never brought joy, it never fulfilled. And now, what I value the most is my time. And how I spend my time is equally as important as how I spend my money, maybe even more so. In times that I feel that urge to go buy cool/fun things I ask myself "have you gone on an adventure/outside today?" And I noticed it often hits when I have been cooped up inside. The instant cure is stepping outside and taking deep breaths, inhaling and exhaling gratitude for all that I have been given, the small and great things. A grateful heart is so important.

The push to buy, buy, buy to me is so disturbing. So much waste, so much disposable stuff. When all you need to do is reuse things you have, support local thrift shops, make items yourself. Most importantly, as you speak of, is being mindful of what you are spending your hard earned money on. Is it wanted or needed? Big difference. Does it support or harm the planet. All sorts of things to take into consideration when you spend mindfully. Great topic!!

She said she'd ask people are you safe? People said things like, "well maybe I'm not safe because this could happen or this. " and she'd say, "That wasn't the question. Are you safe in this moment? Are you safe right now? ". It was eye opening 💖

@@doloreslujansalvador2644 I have known many others that have "it all" in life with material wealth and money! Yet, so many of these individuals are so unhappy, unfulfilled so they buy something to fill a void in their lives. This can get out of hand for many as they accumulate more and more! Addictions are difficult to get out of, once you allow yourself to continue down that path... Yet, you Can break the habit if you "will" yourself to not go in that direction! Two thoughts. 1. Starting at age 19 I planned for a simple life a life that was immune to the rampant inflation of the early 1970s. I secured some land in a place I knew I could always call home. I built a home partly underground, oriented to the sun that was very well insulated and had the thermal mass to take advantage of passive solar heating. Passive solar and the various factors that go with it do 75 % of my heating. I added a wood cookstove that could be fueled from the land using about a cord of wood per year for cooking, water heating, and backup space heating. There is no need for central heating even in Vermont. For the remainder of my energy needs I installed a wind generator system supplemented by PV solar. Gardening, root cellaring, canning etc helped with the food as long as my back can deal with it. Motorcycles and cars that get over 50 mpg covered my transportation needs Bicycling, cross country skiing, and human and electric powered boating are my recreation. My only necessary expense is property taxes which were minimized by the home design. 2. Children are incredibly expensive. I recommend saving much more than you think you will ever need before embarking on that adventure. Don’t try to cover that expense from your periodic cash flow like everyone does. It is a source of constant stress which one doesn’t need when trying to be a good parent. And children will always turn on you for some period of time, hopefully briefly. It is the necessary nature of that endeavor.

How refreshing that you wake up in the mornings looking for opportunities to love life and appreciate who you are and the things you have. Thrifting is therapeutic for me as it allows me to take things and give them a different purpose. Keep shining as spring is coming soon to your village!

Excerpt from Paola's video today: "We are safe right now. We are secure right now. And we just need to take deep breaths. Be generous, and support others, and be involved in our community. Have faith that we will find our way." ~ Luke. Wise words. Wise man. Blessings to you and your home, and your KZbin community, Paola.

I really like this. I've always been a thriftstore shopper, but this year i began mending clothes, not feeling like buying much. I went through the winter with all my old clothes. As i get older, certain things matter less, and other things matter more. The first time i met him my 80 year old acupuncturist said to me, "Simple life is best." Like your videos, this felt very supportive to me in a world that wants me to want things that don't increase my sense of wellbeing or happiness. I haven't watched for awhile but am glad i came back.

I too am trying to curate what I buy and analyze why I buy it. This is why I bought a few items from your Etsy shop this month- some stickers to share and a small print for myself. I always love supporting artists if I do indulge 🥰

you do know she is making minimum 6 to 10k dollars each month with her videos right. if you want to really support then support the local artists who need the help not someone whose family is rich and also makes lot of money from youtube.

@@samshetty3590 So should we not buy from artists who are finally successful? Paola’s art and videos make me happy and add value to me life. Therefore I was happy to make a purchase from her. Don’t get me wrong, I do like to support local artists as well (I don’t know why you would assume that I don’t already.) My big thing is not supporting corporations pumping out massed produced items if I’m buying art.

Your videos always make my stop and think. I do tend to fill my empty days with purchases. I know I have what I truly need. Although this still doesn’t stop me from wanting. I grew up with very limited possessions. We were not poor but just enough for food and bills. No extras anywhere. When I was finally on my own I with “I see this, I want this”. I was working full time so I could afford my wants. Now I sit in my house and I am surrounded by stuff. Wish I had had really thought about the things I was purchasing and my needs, not my wants. I have decided to keep what I truly love and give away to charity those that I don’t. We have a local church that distributes free clothing to the needy. Spring cleaning is starting soon. Thanks for making me see things in a different way. Hopefully Spring is on its way 😁

I really recommend you start tracking your purchases so you can see where your money is actually going and follow the wait at least 48 hours before purchasing anything - these have been the two most helpful tips for more mindful spending :)

Hi. This doesn’t concern money, I just wanted to tell you how important you have become in my life. I hate the news and when I am laying on the couch overwhelmed, my husband will find your channel, and I’ll listen to the ambient music. See your beautiful videography and listen to your voice. Great advice and I love the projects you do. I also am an artist and had an Etsy shop at one time. I was Ann art director for a book and magazine publisher and have written and illustrated my own Children’s book. We do so many similar things. I just turned 60 last year and I’m having trouble with accepting it. My husband and I have been married 42 years. Anyway, just love you and your art! Thanks, PegiAnet

I was JUST thinking while watching the beginning of this beautiful video, that you'd be the most magical mother to a child/children one day. Hearing you'd like to start a family makes me SO VERY Happy in my soul! I'm 43 and still praying I can be a Momma. But knowing there are people like you who will raise the next generation, gives me such hope and peace. Hugs from Napa Ca my friend 🩷🌼

Yes, good perspective. Also important that we all use our time, energy and resources to sow, grow and tend to things that create true peace, health and beauty in the world. Even if it’s meditation! A calm and clean home. A garden. Relationships.
