Rule of thumb for fruit production a 4:year old tree should not have more than 5 fruit 5 year old 15 six year old trees 25 but this all depends how big your trees are at these ages. Could be more or less depending how well your trees are growing .my trees are big growing very well and we expect above those numbers with most of our trees ..sure you can come by more than happy to drink a few beers and I'll tell you all I have learned from being a durian farmer .

The concern I would have is the ongoing use of chemicals and their effects on soil biology. Healthy soil makes for healthy trees. The other concern is lack of diversity. The more diverse, the less chance of losing a major portion of what u are growing to disease and pests.

My spray bill is 8000bht a fortnite , and i do it myself , my workers , 2 are on 400 bht a day each , with the drought my fuel costs for pumping are 500 bht a week , fertilizer is 1600 bht a 50 kilo bag by 8 bags every 60 days . I think your in for a shock over the next 4 yrs . We might make some money , but by hell we spend it too . Impressive layout , money is obviously not an issue .

@@TMDurianfarmer I spray 2000 ltrs , as you mention we had a drought , the worst in a 100 yrs . , our river stopped flowing first time ever. Had to go into over drive and dig a big hole , 20,000 bht and 20,000 for a diesel pump all unplanned expenses , due to the stress on the trees they dropped fruit , we lost 3 trees before we could get water too them . I consider myself lucky my neighbour lost 5 tonne or 30% of his fruit , we are just getting some monsoon rain now. The crop in this area will be poor quality due to the lack of water , i am getting close to picking , my crop will be down on what i expected . @@TMDurianfarmer you need to get a 1000 ltr tote i think you yanks call them , we call them a pod . With your resources and your farm layout i would be using a spray unit mounted on that tractor your got parked in the shed . My guys take 3 and half hours to spray 50% of the trees , so its done over 2 days . Yes la nina is a goer for next year , so we are better prepared , the locals have no idea what a drought is , us aussies are well versed in them , water carting was in full swing here up to yesterday and i'm sure that was putting a big hole in there bank accounts , of course some locals were doing well selling water , making 10,000 bht a day. This is our first fruiting year , the season hasn't been kind to any one , who knows what next yr will bring
@TMDurianfarmer Жыл бұрын
@@นครโมบาย-ห9ล my sprayer has the 2 booms that can extend about 4 m for spraying I took them off the tank due to the trees not being big enough maybe next year I can add them and then one person can do it .as of now I connected two wands .I'll still have the issue of not having enough capacity ,I see some guy with that 1000 liter tank I'll have to set up something in the future .selling water is lucrative when no one has it .
