I lived in Grass Valley and Nevada City in the mid 60's. I've been Around the world 6 times and it is still my favorite place I lived.

The best part of Nevada City and Grass Valley California is the old Mining town, Victorian buildings in the downtown area. Nice friendly people too. It's going to snow again tonight, March 9, 2021.

Haven't stepped foot in GV since I moved out years ago but I know exactly where you are and it's crazy to see my home town through the eyes of another resident; I hope to visit again soon, I miss my family.

Last time I was @ this building where you work, was to get a marriage license in 1997. Happily divorced, should of left him long ago. I miss Grass Valley/Nevada City, debating on if I should go back. I loved being surrounded by tall tree's.

Nice scenery, also I like the sound of your car/truck. What kind is it? I was looking for landmarks, stores, etc. You should have driven down the Main Streets of the towns with the snow on the buildings.

It does, especially up in Tahoe and Shasta. Once you get into the centeral valley area it stops snowing and becomes what people usually picture California as being, but northern Cali gets up to 50 feet of snow in some areas annually, especially in truckee and Tahoe. Basically the northern half is like Colorado and the southern half is like New Mexico.

The city people ruined G.V./N.C. area. I grew up here and have no need to see the new destruction of this area. Plus the air is bad, call AQMD in G.V. to learn what you can't see.
