Okay but real talk: y’all ever had pierogis? We’re talking mashed potatoes, sour cream, cheese, anything else you wanna throw in to spice her up, then put in basically a dumpling, then pan fried (or air fried, if you’re me). It is, arguably, the best form of potato. Definitely the best not straight up potato (like potato salad, the like), imo.

Also hassleback potatoes have been done a disservice! They are baked in butter/oil and seasoned to perfection with the slices (not all the way through) giving more surface area for crisp perfection!

Okay I definitely agree about steak fries, the worst type of fry. I also agree with a basic baked potato being so low. But you really need some good scalloped potatoes and double baked (or I call twice baked) potatoes! When done right, they're amazing.

Scalloped potatoes are cheesy potatoes - they should be ranked the same. Also, if gnocci counts as a potato, then so should perogi. Potato soup doesn't deserve that. It has bacon in it. Steak fries and potato fries are *exactly the same thing*

my favorite is twice-baked potatoes. you first bake it then you cut it in half and scoop out the inside and make mashed potatoes with them. Then you restuff the skins with the mashed potatoes and top them with butter and paprika and then you broil them. They are so delicious.
