I absolutely love my haunted house. I never thought I'd love it or connect with it as much as I did. Despite the disturbing aspects, it's actually such a warm, sweet deck. I don't know that's the vibe I get from it, It's my favourite and I can't keep it out of my hands. It is just such a wonderful deck and so gentle. I have no words to describe it.

Some truly disturbing picks! I honestly feel like some of these card interpretations though potentially triggering are actually very interesting , that ace of swords from the haunted house deck really got me thinking. I agree , these decks and card offerings can actually be very good for shadow work and navigating our way through triggers, i find some of the more disturbing cards from the Lubanko Tarot really do that for me. As eerie as the Somnia tarot is, I’m so drawn to it! It’s definitely on my list, those figures have a kind of ring wraith Lord of the Rings vibe to them so maybe a bit of my fandom is coming out there but i do like it’s link to insomnia and that sort of night terror and otherworldly aspect it has to it. Loved this tag and your interpretations of the cards! 🙌💙

That Hierophant from the Mary El Tarot!! It always intrigued me, I don't know whether I love it or hate it, but it's slightly repulsive to me... the Somnia Tarot is gorgeous, I love love love it. That 2 of pentacles is my favorite ever... with the two creepy girls with pentagram shirts, I see me and my cousin in that image and that Ace of Swords with the knife cutting the wrist is a very powerful symbol. Now I really REALLY want the Haunted House Tarot. Terra Volatile!! Oh my Satan, love it. I have the Dark Grimoire and I LOVE that 9 os swords. That Magician from the Black Tarot... wow... thank you so much for doing a VR!! Your tarot collection is absolutely amazing!!

Thank you for your original video! I wanted to do a direct VR but couldn’t narrow it down so I had to expand the criteria. It’s so interesting how different people interpret tarot cards differently. The fact that that 2 of Pentacles holds a positive connotation for you is pretty cool. I really recommend the Tarot of the Haunted House. It’s a story unto itself. Very interesting video. Out of all the decks you showed i own the Terra Volatile and the Morgan Greer and funnily enough the exact same cards from these creeped me out as well. I don't know why but i was just never keen on that Morgan Greer devil. With the Terra Volatile i ended up switching out the 9 or wands for the alternate 8 of wands card where the wands come out her head (re numbering it with a marker) and as i don't use the extra vessels suit i got rid of the 9 of cups buddha and swapped it for the 10 of vessels card. Seeing how it goes so far with those changes 🙂 Some very interesting decks that you shared - really feeling the creepy vibes 😂

Wow. I love your ingenuity in swapping out the images you don't like for the ones you do. I use the Vessels suit so that wouldn't work for that card for me, but I love the idea of the 8 of Wands switch. That card is very cool. Thanks for tuning in and sharing your thoughts again, Natalie!❤️

Uuuu...the Terra volitile was interesting deck. Never seen that one before. And I love the Emperor in Cillas deck 😅 Up in your face type of symbolism and devil with monster in her "hoohaa". It's so interesting to see decks that I have on youtube. I always look at them through a different lense than when they are on my table.

Hi Liz, it's lovely to see a video from you! This was an insightful glimpse into the cards that raise questions (and eyebrows). The Dark Grimoire was one deck that fascinated me from when I first started using tarot cards but haven't bought yet. I will buy it at some point. I think because there is potential for some profound....and unsettling... readings. I love the Albert Finney version of A Christmas Carol too, one of my favourite christmas films from my childhood (thaaank you very much...) 😁

Hi Ruth! If I had to only choose 5 decks to keep forever the Dark Grimoire would be on that list. It is that intuitive and profound. I love it. That version of The Christmas Carol is my favorite…BUT…FX’s A Christmas Carol is a dark take on the story and it’s characters. It is a close second. It is cerebral and psychological. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Oh that 9 of Wands in Terra Volatile...so glad they offered an alternate to that one in the expansion. I preordered their new edition with the expansion, so excited for it. I wish I had the Mary-El 1st edition. They changed the cards in the 2nd edition, and it lost power because of it. The Somnia is fantastic. I wish it was easier to obtain, where I live.

@@AntoinetteTarot gotcha. Maybe think of it as representing the energy of a mob…that unchecked rage that takes over and consumes anything in its path. Not a happy thought, but it’s an interesting way to analyze that part of human behavior. Just a thought. I look at all the imagery in this deck as representing energy and human psychology. Hope you can find some interpretation that works for you!!! ❤️❤️

New to your channel! (Well, mostly not, I've been lurking, hahaha) I loved your interpretation of The Hierophant in the Mary-El. I don't have it as is not my taste but that Hierophant card was really inspiring! I received the Somnia just this monday... It had me feeling like being drowned or lacking air. I've been doing “test readings” (basically fake readings) to see what comes up and it's a deck that just answers with questions for me. It has become my first deck for heavy and intense shadow work. Love the Terra Volatile! I also have the expansion, both in linen, and I use all the cards, hahaha. I don't know, I like all the cards even the weird 9 of Wands in the original deck. Somehow, I can differentiate in what way the card meaning is going. For example, having the 3 death cards in a spread can have different meanings for me and that doesn't bother me at all. Also, they're working for a 2nd expansion ;).

The three of swords in forest of Enchantment depicts a father abandoning his children in the forest really triggers me. I can't use that deck because of this. I just don't like children being depicted with harm. Good video!

I have seen that card. 💔 I know it pertains to the Hansel and Gretel story, but, yes, it depicts parental abandonment and I can completely see how that would be triggering…especially for those who struggle with those issues. i didnt get the 2 of pents of Haunted house at first... but i think it describes the feeling when you are pinned in a hard situtation like the 2 of pents in rider waite being forced to balance the two coins because thats the only thing u have like trap in a situation u have to face even if it is hard and u dont know what to do next, u have no way out its like a work load in your job that u need to do more work for a little amount of money kind of vibe

You know what comes immediately to mind is Cosmic Tarot by Norbert Losche...that one has some images that are somehow...creepy without really being able to put my finger on it. I love the deck, but it is kinda eerie. I feel like the lone ranger as far as Tarot Volatile, I really am not into that deck, I think it goes a little too far. There's so much going on, when do you ever get around to the tarot reading part? I admit, I love a little creepiness, I think Bohemian Gothic has the ultimate combo of stunning beauty and dark humor. I also adore Dark Grimoire...who knew? But it's a firm favorite to me...also REALLY love the Murder of Crows. Should be a creep fest, but it just looks like a beautiful dance of light and lines...like fog. I get great readings from that one. The New Orleans Voodoo Tarot...I should have loved, but I was entirely creeped out by. I had to get it gone. I love the Tarot of the Crone tho...at first the artwork seemed scary, and then as I got to know it, it's really very encouraging and warm. Strange.

Some very disturbing images I guess to me the 9 of wands in Terra Volátile is the creepiest. The Morgan Greer devil is my favorite devil of all times , I even dream with it hahahaha I have a couple of disturbing images in my decks like some from the Sorceress tarot from Lo Scarabeo. The lovers is a big Wtf. And the beautiful Golden Renaissance tarot have a lot of those too but is beautiful deck anyways

Here is the verbiage from a post on the Baba Studios, Babarock FB page: “I just replied to someone on a forum who was asking about the fourth edition of The Bohemian Gothic Tarot. I thought it would also be useful if I pasted our reply here. I'll also put up some pictures of our test cards for the deck, so that you can see the kind of issues we have and the decisions to be made. ___________ The fourth edition is definite, but we have no idea when, as currently there is a huge shortage of the German-made cardstock that we use (supply-chain issues, Covid issues). We will do our best to put in an order for it, but it isn't simple (large minimum orders which mean a real problem for storing). Independent tarot production is becoming very difficult, especially as the way we do our cold-stamping (throughout the image, so it's tricky) is complicated and specialised and there are few printers that will take it on. Our aim is to do a full size and a large format. Fingers crossed it becomes possible.” So, yes! It’s coming we just don’t know exactly when as they are currently working on the Bohemian Cats tarot. I don’t believe so, but their size isn’t unusually large, it’s just that there are a lot of alternate cards which makes the deck quite thick if you keep them all in. Hope that helps!
