I have a story to tell... I was in a match once as red. I became Impostor, and my impostor buddy was blue. The settings of the game were anonymous votes and the ejects would not tell you if the player was a crew mate or impostor. (Keep this in mind.) I was on the very right of the map, killed somebody, then vented to a room nearby. The body was reported half a minute later, and the discussion began. Blue and I joined the chat and at the very end, I was very sus to about all of the crew mates. 3 people voted me and 3 people voted some other guy, so I got lucky. I ended up going back to the very right side of the map, since I was being followed by crewmates. Since I saw blue vent in the room that I was near, I had a plan figured out, and then ran back and made an emergency called. Of course, like my plan was, I was voted by basically everybody. I said that blue vented in full caps to make it seem as if I was bull crapping. Blue didn't know my plan, so he flipped out and my plan worked. Since blue WAS an impostor like I was, had really vented, and since the crew mates didn't exactly know if I was impostor because of the settings, they only had to assume I was impostor based off of the many susses I have. Blue was unnoticed since the crew mates thought I lied being an impostor. They all ignored blue and blamed each other, just how I wanted it to happen. They killed each other and I distracted with sabotage and we won. I then got banned since the other players were mad at me for outsmarting them, and blue thanked me because halfway through-when I was killed- he got what my plan was. Sometimes its good to use each other Impostor buddies to sacrifice or to use to distract. I use this type of method a lot... try it!

A good crew mate strat is to hide outside of security after checking that absolutely nobody is there, make sure you are JUST out of vision, but so you can still see the vent through the walls.
