The first film is perfect. Theres not a lot of perfect movies, but gladiator is one. A second movie could only ever be worse than the original. You can't get better than perfect. Gladiator 2 is really bad, unnecessary, bad story, it just does nothing the first one does. As a stand-alone, it's mid at best.
