Annoyed is the right term. While it's more like sibling rivalry, I think 5up really is a bit better than Hafu. In his stream few months ago (october I think), 5up said he respects players who not only are good at the this game (requisite: not toxic), but also contribute to make the game better like inventing more strats, etc, just like him. He listed Toast and iirc Train as well in that group. While Hafu is really good at this game, she hardly contributes. Like Toast said, Hafu is a very "by the book" player. She masters all possible moves to their peak but not beyond the original scope of the game. She's like an honour student who gets perfect marks by memorising the text book while 5up is a genius student who loves the subject enough to create a formula/discovery by himself. If someone like Toast, Train, Dumbdog, or Greaseball bests 5up, I don't think he minds that much.

I think the biggest error in Hafus retort is that Toast would never kill on 10... Toast has proven time and time again that his main objective is for everyone to have fun. That shot was cheap. Toast would hold onto that hunch for at least a few more rounds

Not really. Toast doesn't vote early when he is 100 percent who the impostor is because the impostor was that obvious. When the impostors arent that obvious, and he meta susses, or does some big brain play he would instantly vote people out on 10 as well. Remember Poki and Rae getting voted out based on the keys trick? That was a cool trick but he didnt explain and voted them out. Or when he says Soul Read/ Horse sound, the impostors get no chance to defend. The soul read first time actually got (I think dumbdog or Aipha) out without any kill.

About what Hafu said: "if it was Toast, it'd be a big brain play". I don't think Toast would ever do that. Not because he is unsure (he usually can identify the imposters round one) but because he knows how not fun it would be for the imposter. He's ok with soul reading and sussing round one, but just killing like that is just lame, he'd never do that and he'd definitely not feel proud like she felt after she did it. She's a really good player like him, but I believe in this situation 5up's right to be salty

Yeah Toast would never make that play. He is galaxy brain, but to him the most important thing is everyone has fun. I've watch him play multiple times as crew/sheriff and even if he figures out who the imposters are in the first round, he normally won't say a word about it until he has solid proof and/or that person messes up.

I love Hafu and respect her calls, especially as a leader of the lobby, but it just felt weird that she'd bring up Toast as a way to deflect 5up's saltiness over that Sheriff kill. Kinda showed a double standard... I'm all for applauding great plays by females (and they do have them) and giving them a voice (because the lobby has talked over the girls countless times), but this one felt a little weird. There are differences in approaches with Hafu's Sheriff kill on 10 vs. Toast's random "big brain" sus claims. Hafu actually did use a very Toast-method of sus'ing 5up for that Sheriff kill by meta-gaming sabotage tendencies. But when Toast thinks he knows, he often won't actually start pushing or act fully until later in the game (unless he is meme-ing and the lobby hops along and in turn he is completely okay with being meme voted out), in order to give the imposter(s) chances to play/enjoy the game. Even Hafu and others in the morning lobbies have gotten salty over Toast's soul reads that put sus on them without explanation or got them voted out early, since he rarely fully explains his susses during meetings. I do think 5up would be equally sad if anyone in the lobby Sheriff killed him at 10, since there is a level of RNG with metagame susing - Toast acknowledges that he's not always correct on his calls. 10 felt terrible too since nothing had happened in the game other than the one sabotage so it can't be a hard accuse which is a rule for the lobby to vote on 8, 9, or 10. Sheriff is an immediate dead end on Imposter play that they can't defend against.

To me, the thing about Hafu sheriff kill wasn't really the meta (because like, meta is the usual stuff everyone does, can't do nothing but get used to it). Problem was... she sheriff-ed based on sus = voting on 10 without hard accuse (# lobby rule), no meeting for the impostor to even defend themself either. Also the reason wasn't really convincing imo? That was the first time the lobby played with colour blind comm, I think whoever was the impostor would try it, not necessarily be 5up, but it happened to be him ... it's basically RNG voting on 10 - what caused him to leave the sweaty lobbies and create this one with Hafu. She unknowingly broke her own lobby rules (and was proud of it). But I don't think she realized why 5up was upset and thought it's just about "meta" lol.

remember the day where they were playing the 3 solo imposter mod and she made it to final 4 with one other imposter managed to get the other one voted out and then she did her evil laugh before everyone deafened (obviously revealing herself as the last one) but then one of the dead imposters called a sabotage as soon as the round started? the crewmates were able to get the lights back on and call a meeting but she whined and forced everyone to let her win it lol it was so painful to watch. hello??? like the other imposters are not on your team, they are allowed to sabotage you as much as they are sabotaging the crewmates.

This lobby never set rules about meta gaming so Hafu’s play isn’t technically “wrong.” However, they have all of these rules to protect imposters from RNG, and then she kills on 10 from a comms call... feelsbadman. She would be so salty if she got sheriff killed at 10 for doing water jug, and if it was right she’d call it “confirmation bias.” Most of Hafu’s play is meta based (like knowing when DK is or isn’t imposter). And that’s fine especially because they never made rules against it. But using it to kill on 10 against the lobby precedent is just kinda BM

I want to advocate for a new role idea I thought of specifically with DK in mind. I call it the Soul Reader. - For the very first meeting only, he would get to cast two votes. - He loses his second vote if 4+ people died prior to the first meeting being called to discourage ignoring bodies to manipulate risk/reward odds. - If he votes for both imposters, they are both ejected and he wins the game (like jester, this counts as a crew loss). - If he only gets one right and one wrong, the game carries on only counting his first vote. The second vote would not display so his identity remains hidden. Would enable interesting lies/plays to claim the role based on the voting results because if he lives to the next round, he would know at least one of the killers but would need to make it to the next meeting to try to convince the crew. - If he gets both wrong, he is ejected at the end of the meeting (for voter fraud) regardless of the actual outcome of the votes. His first vote would still count as usual though. - He could also simply opt out of using his second vote to negate the risks and hide his identity.

Hafu meta-ing would be less annoying if she didn’t constantly complain about how it ruins the game. Don’t get me wrong it’s a big brain play until it’s done to you. Like if I call a mate out for calling o2 like they always do I feel like a genius but when I get called for closing doors it’s completely unfair. Overall it just shouldn’t be used until you know for certain as it kills the fun of the game.

Day 71 of teaching his viewers, how 5up knows when his impostor partner kills: The kill button will flash for a frame. It is very easy to see when in a vent as the number sticks until he leaves said vent. It is noticeable when cool-down is off and slightly less so when his own cool-down is ticking. It is possible that this flash has not been noticed by you, due to the fps of videos being 22 for resolutions 480 and under, vs the game running on 60, showing this for a single or two frames at most. If you want to see this 100% of the time, change to at least 720p. The killcam is synchronized to the flicker on most videos.

Yeah, I think maybe he didnt think the snitch would be so convincing and plushys was really likely to stumble into lights before cooldown was up-I assume miko's body was there. And he didn't really use the self report to his advantage, he could have called more attention to self reporting on 3, since there was no way to verify that 5up was snitch. So far i think there hasnt been a lot of lying about roles yet, ive only seen 5up/dk pull it off and I cant wait for the rest of the lobby to start trying it too.

Nope, I'm pretty sure anyone would vote 5up there. The round being played was the round where Kimi and Koji were together a lot of the time. Kimi trusted Koji because he fixed reactor and reported on 3, and she had no proof that 5up was really the snitch. Definitely not saying that Hafu doesn't meta sus, she has a problem with that and I'll be quick to agree that killing 5up on 10 when she was sheriff was unnecessary. Tl;dr Hafu was right about that specific round, voting 5up based on evidence from previous rounds (Kimi and Koji being together a lot, Koji fixing reactor, Koji reporting on 7) is something that most or all players would have done, but that doesn't mean Hafu shouldn't be criticized for meta gaming too much or being hypocritical.
