I love Spain. I was married 52 years ago in Palma. The outfit combinations are wonderful. Can I tell you that you look awesome in all of them but I especially find you pull off long dresses beautifully. Enjoy your holiday. Say hello to Madrid for me!!

I love your choices! We always travel carry on only, except when we went to Costa Rica once in the “before times”😂. We had to carry a bunch of stuff to do a white water raft trip in to the eco lodge we stayed at and hiking boots so we added one carry on for the two of us to share. You want to save enough room to bring back a piece or two of fabric from Spain too! Yes! 👍vlog of your trip. I’m living vicariously through others on international trips for the time being!

I'm planning a girls trip to Europe.....was in the planning process a while back then Covid hit so it put us back a few notches.. I am a big packing cube user. They changed everything and made me so much more organized. I used to take way too much stuff when I packed and half the stuff I didn't even use here at the house let alone on a trip lol ..I don't know why in the world I did that...Be safe and enjoy yourself, eat, drink, and be fabulous...see you when you get back.

Thanks so much, Cathleen! Before covid hit, we were planning a trip to Iceland and had to cancel, too. So this is the first big trip we've taken in a while and it made me want more! I love the packing cubes, too! They help me stay organized--otherwise all my clothing ends up in piles stuff in my suitcase. When I go home to see my parents I ALWAYS overpack--after this trip I am going to try extra hard to pack lighter from now on! :)

@@PatternScout Oh wow, Iceland, home of the Vikings. I love the history of other counties. I read they didn't allow dogs there..I know what you mean about wanting more...we were going to England, Ireland, Scotland and France. I was so disappointed when we had to cancel. Before Covid my gf flew to Poland to see Paul McCartney. She made a big adventure out of it...Now that I've wised up I travel with one hard shell suit case stowed in the overhead compartment and one big tote bad that I disguise as a big purse lol...If I forget an essential item, I just buy it when I get where I'm going. My Aunt would travel with a big suit case and one empty suitcase that she would check...she'd stuff that thing full with things she'd buy lol. Well, I didn't mean to write a monologue...Have a great week..:)

This is so helpful! I'm also an overpacker and I'm starting to get my thoughts together for week at a mountain resort later this summer. I know space will be limited in our car and there will be a lot of different activities there, it's good advice for me not to get too aspirational thinking about all the possibilities and be more practical/strategic.

The aspirational wardrobe planning is what always gets me! I can say that i was much more relaxed about my daily outfits on this trip because I had fewer choices. Great video! You really planned well. I found the best airplane outfit for me is a dress over pants. I don't know what kind of boat you'll be on but sometimes they only let you wear white soled shoes-mostly on smaller boats. Have a lovely trip!

Ah thanks so much, I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I am not exaggerating when I say I wear that buttonup more than ANYTHING else in my closet haha. The linen was labeled as a "tissue linen" and it might have been a blend with viscose or rayon (been so long since I made it, I can't remember) and they sell it at Joann fabrics in white and natural. It's very comfy and has held up really well.

Sounds like a dream trip and love your combos, in fact you could utilize the swimsuits more under covers. What about a hat? Don't take this as a critique but just a suggestion. The music played at the very beginning, in fact ANY music played while you are talking has an interrupting air. We want to hear you at that time. Music while you were modeling is A OK Oh, to be young again and wear short skirts.

Great choices, but how in the world will they allow you to bring all that as add-on with the weight restrictions? I can only fit nightwear , underwear, an extra pair of shoes, a pair of shorts, a top and a jersey dress in my carry-on. And I have sized down to an ultra light add-on case. I put one more change of clothes in my purse as well. The rest has to go in my checked luggage and I don't take much more than you are. Maybe two more shorts and tops, but no jeans or long sleeve shirt and only one swim suit and 3 pair of shoes (one of which I would be wearing). And everything is the lightest fabric weight-wise that I own. I've been stopped for being over limit and made to put everything except one pair of socks and one pair underwear, in my checked luggage because my add-on case itself was too heavy. Talk about traumatizing! We were near the front of the line so everyone got to check out all of my underwear and everything else I was bringing. That's why I carry an ultra light one now. Please tell me your secret of how you carry it all with you.
