I don’t even think it was about teaching them a lesson in “proper way.” This was a classic control thing: instead of letting THEM be the parents/respecting boundaries, she’s mad they’re not doing it HER WAY & giving into her demands!!! They’re completely right saying that just cuz their way of parenting is different than how she did it doesn’t make it wrong. My late uncle once said to me & all my cousins, “there’s no way to be the perfect parent, but a million ways to be the best you can be.” When you’re devoted to your family/always put in the effort to be there, that’s what matters in the long run ☺️🥰☺️!!! Guess Grandma here missed that part 😒

My sister in law told me a story where her friend was taken away from her parents falsely. The friends sister contacted CPS and sent a false report saying her parents abused her when in reality her parents took privileges away from the daughter because she was rebellious and definant. So cps took all of the children away in that house. CPS ruined her friends life and she wasnt allowed to see her parents and she loved her parents and knew her sister was lying about the whole thing. Which is sad as there are legit abuse cases and many of those are ignored where there are some families where abuse isn’t present and they are the ones who have their kids taken away

Totally loved how this couple put Maureen in her place about her criticism of how they parent THEIR daughter 🥳!!! Nancy is a trillion % right: just cuz their parenting style is different from hers absolutely doesn’t mean it’s wrong or neglectful! Personally, if this was me, I would never EVER allow that woman back into mine or my family’s lives, even if she was genuinely sorry. That might be harsh, but I just don’t know how you could ever truly trust someone again after violating your faith in them, especially when it comes to something like this.
