I think the fewer people you tell the better, because the most "educated" of us are conditioned and brainwashed.People don't always expect things to go well when you make that transition and observe while they wait to see you "fail". They are delusional about their own personal situation in a "rich" country with all the bad food, stress and racism they face on a daily basis 🙄. I call it twisted thinking. CONGRATULATIONS sis, proud of you . Happiness is a state of mind and I wish you well in all you do.

This channel is a god send. As a single mother.. I can attest to allot of the most recent most interviews & thoughts. Having ventured into West Africa in particular and that not working.. the Carribbean. Was initially my first choice. Adaptive lifestyle, good planning, patience and moving in silence are keys to successfully transitioning abroad.. Not allow negative energy from those who are happy within their own comfortable zone In the west who may project their own insecurities, is something one should try to avoid. I think it was a huge surprise, when I bought land abroad, for certain people. Even more a surprise, in seeing peoples delight when hearing the obstacles I went though. Well, if I did it once my own. I'm will do it again and succeed. 💯 Moving is the best decision for a better and more peaceful way of life. This channel is my motivation during my planning journey as long as income is remote.. determination and drive is steadfast. It will happen for me and my family. Thanks for the channel. 👍🏾💐

A new subscriber. So glad I’ve discovered this channel. “Responsibility and Choices”. 2 words that resonate so much with me. We black people indeed owe such a huge gratitude to the ancestors/generations who came before us. Whenever I’m in Barbados I always feel a sense of “being home”. The great sense of peace and calm in my spirit that I have never felt in the 50 plus years of being born in and living in the U.K. Barbados always feels like home. Being at one with Nature is the best feeling in the world. I can so identify with what Dee said regarding being sad when she left Barbados. I am so looking forward to watching all the other videos on this channel. Well done on this channel so needed.

Thank you Maria! Honestly, that feeling of flying into Gatwick after a holiday in the Caribbean is literally the worst. I remember fighting back tears at border control, wishing I could just get back on the plane 😆. Here's hoping you get to spend more time in your homeland soon 🤞🏾✨!

Hi ladies, this is a beautiful, calm and measured conversation. That statement about gardening for a few weeks/months in the UK....LOL that is so true. You have to hurry and get flowers potted and planted before the weather switches up. Also that absolute gem of a comment about our ancestors not getting the choice of being able to slow down and smell the roses of life around them. I loved this conversation. Keep doing what you’re doing, I’ve shared this channel with my friends and family. I’m planning to move to Jamaica over the next few years and when I do I would love for all the Exodus collective ladies and men to physically meet up and celebrate our journey’s to the Caribbean ...

That is how I feel when I’m leaving Jamaica to return to the U.S. the drive back to Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston Jamaica is soooooooo depressing! Smelling the sea salt and feeling the sea 🌊 breeze coming to an end. It’s heartbreaking I literally hold back tears. The pressure and stress of America 🇺🇸 hits my soul before I even land back in New York. I truly believe we are not meant to be in cold climates. I’m moving to Florida soon. So my flight ✈️ to Jamaica will be 1 hour flight. Instead of my now 3 1/2 hour flight. Being just one hour away I can visit more frequently and the ultimate goal is to relocate to Jamaica when my daughter is older.

When I listen to Dee explaining her connection with self, it reminds me of Kemetic Spirituality. You can check it out on KZbin and then read and learn more about these ancient Egyptian principles. I think for us black people who have been enslaved and colonized, it is very liberating to learn how to just follow your own barometer. We are all different and your path should come from within you, not from someone you deem smarted. No one is smarter about you than you are. We must trust ourselves and follow where our spirit guides us. There is nothing more powerful than the truth…. Not even religion. If it gets in the way of truth, it must be shelved.

That was so invigorating. So much I can relate to. Where do I start😊. Going back home is like decluttering. You don't need the alarm as automatically you're up at 6am, and you want to go outside, unlike in the UK, and you want to go back under the covers😂. Reading more books comes so easily, as there are no other distractions. Just you, the sun and the breeze. Its a mindset, but you have to want to go back home. If you don't feel it, that's fine. Everybody is different, not clones. What works for one, may not work for another. You have to be happy for yourself not other people. Fear=negativity, and that's what other people are looking at. We need a slower pace of life, changing from UK=I want it yesterday to Caribbean=It soon come. 😂 This video is very good Zoe, and well done to Dee.

Andrew you're so right in saying that folks have to want to go back home. For those who've ended up here because their obliged to be here because of family obligations etc, the West Indies can be a very trying and testing place to be! It sounds like you're ready though 😁! I hope your exit strategy is coming along nicely

I actually got a lot of those questions when I was wanting to move from Trinidad to the UK for my big adventure of travelling around Europe. 🤣 Was leaving an amazing and highly desired job to do so with no idea if I would even get a job in the UK so people were super scared for me but I was super excited.

They don’t want to risk anyone else possibly being happier than them. That is the only reason toxic people would want to trap / coerce someone.

I guess some folks find other people's freedom to be triggering. It's a missed opportunity for self reflection in my opinion 🤷🏾‍♀️
