I just found this channel and it makes me super happy to see someone do what I wanted to do. I was wondering, is it a bad idea to turn my math major into a double major with music and math, during Covid-19? For me, the reason why I didnt do a music major was because of covid, so i applied for a math major (pure math planning to teach and research). Now im a freshman, i feel like i dodged a bullet, but i also feel like i might be missing out on the chance to make a career from composing and conducting.

Yeah if you’re still a freshman go for it! You’ll have plenty of time to decide what you want to do in the end. Doing only music is a little more risky, but you can always turn one major into a minor if your schedule gets too busy

Great, I took bachelors in Ethnomusicology, not sure if I can get chance to graduate in Music Composition because we did not have any course on composition at all and really sweetly explained. Thanks :)
