When I was in like third grade there was a new kid, and he got really horrible grades because the teachers marked off the answers they couldn't read. Sometimes they asked him what he had written to see if they could somehow not mark it off, only to find that he couldn't read his own writing. (He also forgot that _J_ is a letter and moved to Ireland. )

@@tear4677 I can attest to this. I try my best to write really pretty notes because I have OCD. If I make one mistake, I rip out the whole page and start over. It's a real burden and affects my grades quite a lot, but if I don't do it then I get super anxious and my compulsion to do it just gets stronger :/. That's why I'm trying to get better at my handwriting and faster/more effective at taking notes: so that I don't make as many mistakes and waste so much paper trying to satisfy an OCD compulsion.

Honestly, I feel like you need a good pen, paper that you like, 2 good highlighters (one light and one dark,mildliners are the BEST.) and a pencil. I really like the flair paper mate pens cause there kinda pricey but not really and at the same time there’s a variety of color AND I feel anyone’s handwriting looks BOMB with that pen.
