Caitlin's Corner also I agree that Blackwing pencils are literal essentials because once I tried them (not to sound bougie) I physically cannot use another wood case pencil! They are amazing and I kinda want to try them all XD! Have you ever tried the CaranDeAche Swiss wood pencil? If not they are my favorite HB grade pencils you should try them if you haven’t :)

I find that the Crayola Supertips actually smear and bleed LESS than the Mildliners, so I would recommend just get a big pack of Supertips. Especially in the back-to-school sales. More colors, better performance and more versatility (highlight, color, draw, lettering).

Yes! You can’t believe how many times I’ve had to use the cap on my bottle or coins to make circles. I have a compass and I know how to use it and it is really handy, but sometimes you just want a beautiful circle of any size you want without having to commit to a pin hole in the center.

Ended up splurging on the archer and olive journal. It's visually lovely and the no-bleed pages are nice, but they really had me at the fact that it lays flat when open. That is a complete must for any journal for me.

I wouldn’t call myself a stationary queen, but I do have a holy grail pen. It’s the Pilot G-2 pens. They’re so smooth and nice to write with and they also look really good on paper. The only thing is that they do smudge, especially if you go over them with highlighter. But since I’m normally writing notes with them and don’t really use highlighters, it doesn’t matter too much.

I have that see through grid ruler. It is amazing. I cut it down to fit my small journal a year ago then this year when I started using a bigger bullet journal I realized that the rest of the ruler fits it perfectly! My #1 item is the Pentel Energel pen in .3mm. I bought the alloy pens that way I just buy refills now. The next item I use the most are Pigma Microns especially the 01 size. These are great for drawing and thin lettering styles. However, when I want a slightly thicker line I use the Sharpie pen or the Bic Intensity marker, since those are cheaper and still look/work great.

Sticky notes are the best....not only can they save you a lot of trouble but they also add pop to any plain table or notebook...I use these in my notes. Makes revision time easier.

The Pentel RSVP are my favorite quick note pen. I used them nearly exclusively for first notes through all of my under grad and masters program.

I just started school again and I decided to take my notes in a way that makes me happy. I absolutely love the stabilo fine liners, fine tip markers (pen 89) and swing cool markers! I write almost everything with the black fine liner and I found out that they even have erasable stabilo fine liners (black, red, green and blue). Stabilo is such a good brand and they aren't even that expensive. I also really like the design of thier supplies!

For sketching, I suggest using a kneaded eraser (if you struggle finding cheaper ones trust me you'll find one lol so don'tgive up). Kneaded erasers leave no eraser shavings and pick up graphite. If you write dark in a pencil, it will lighten up. But it''ll take a bit more work to make darker mistakes fully disappear. They're great for light sketches though, because it disappears easily.

Even for pretty notes and aesthetic bujo, I think u only need a good black pen, a pencil, eraser, Ruler and mildliner highlighters, these works as markers and obviously highlighter..... 💟

The Milan erasers you can find them in common square shapes too. Here in Spain they're extreeeemly popular and cheap. You can get a pack of 5 for like 90 cents and everyone has them, specially in schools.

The faber castell 'dust free' eraser is SO good. I will never go back to any others. I don't know if they're geared for art but they look like regular white erasers but they're a little softer and smoother and they just feel so good to use

My Fountain Pen is a MUST! When I learned to write as a child, I went from pencil to fountain pen, so I still only write with it. When I do use a regular pen, it just has to be a gel pen... Is that too snobbish?! Love your videos! ;)

I've been using gelly roll pens to take notes and stuff ever since high school and I'm obsessed with Stabilo highlighters I think I almost collected all colors at one time. Sakura micron pens have been a huge addition since I started art school so these are my top three "must-haves" I guess. Though I use post-its (and lately, my Tombow brush pens) on literally everything lol

I always gravitate back to a basic black BIC ballpoint pen. Cheap and reliable, and they last AAAGES. I really like the Muji pens too but I find they don't last very long.

Oooohhh I don’t think I can stick to one item... my essential *two* items are highlighters and gel pens. I have all the Stabilo Boss colours and their neons/bolds are beautiful and there’s a lot of variety. I have the pastels too, as well as the pastels in the Swing Cool. I also use and love the Zebra Mildliners because even though they’re muted, they straddle they line between bold and pastel in their colour selection. I use my highlighters for annotating novels, so the Stabilo Boss are great for large, double-spaced books and the Swing Cool and Mildliners for smaller books with smaller fonts/narrower spacing. And the gel pens I use are Uni-ball Signo DX 0.38 in the off-black colours. I don’t usually favour such a fine tip, but I really like these and the colour is great and they make it easy to write in margins.

I have the Peter Pauper Press dot grid journal. Bought it off of Amazon. I’ve been using it for three months and only keep it safely stowed in my bag or on my home desk, yet somehow the spine is cracked and peeling. There are cheaper, nicer, higher GSM journals at Michaels.

I can't belive there isn't the "Tombow Dual Brush Pens" like they're like mildliners too, a brush tip and A fine tip but with Waayyyyyy more aesthetic colors for you to choose and it can be used as watercolor and mixing if you add water to it. The price tho.. it's a little more expensive, but they last, foreverr ,so it's worth the money ;)
